I have just rung MRI and after being told Ruby was in ITU I spoke to the senior sister who told me things were going well , went away and came back and asked for my phone number.
Within a few minutes Ruby rand me, she is very sore and very tired but sounds so relieved that it is all over. Her voice was rather " frail and faint" but so good to hear her. The surgeon has been this morning and is happy with how it all went and they may move her to HD later today.

Hi Ruby, all the best for today. I meant to write this much earlier, but have been for blood tests, an arm and a half's worth, ouch!. Hope you are well on the way through your op now, and having lovely dreams. Everyone on here is rooting for you and your brilliant recovery. God bless.

Quite disconcerting isn't it?
Had to see an out of hours doctor last Saturday.
Lovely man but he had one eye on me and the other on my DH .

You're in the right place now Ruby. The infrastructure is awful but thank goodness the surgery is excellent. Hope you feel more relaxed now. X. Don't be too disruptive on the ward!
