Malapropisms

My FIL manned the car park for Blenheim palace as a little job after retirement. He had larger spaces for Dobermans (Dormobiles) and limerines.

When admiring my neighbours newly painted room she told me that her husband swore by Durex to do a good job and give a lovely finish.

My aunt used to refer to the menopause as the monoplus.

My late neighbour, bless her, used to buy "moffits" to sew on her children's clothes. i.e. motifs. She was also a believer in " stertificates" from the Dr.

An old neighbour used Domestless bleach!

My nan always had dislocated coconut!

My neighbour had panasonic views from her hotel room.

My MIL was the Queen of Malapropism and of Spoonerism - all quite unintentional but hilarious.

I'm not sure whether these are malapropisms or not, but when my sister in law was moving they were throwing a lot of their belongings away because they were going "mimalistic". My brother in law was talking about their dog who used to get very uptight when a cat came into the garden "He goes absolutely bearsick!" he said. .

was it an intended malapropism though? The best ones have to be said innocently!
