Sixty five years ago, my dad walked me down the aisle to give me away to the man who still holds my hand when we cross the road. No idea where the time has gone, not set the world on fire, just lived very ordinary lives, with love, and shared sorrow and happiness. Two lucky people.

I am just about to close down my computer now, and have read all the fantastic replies to my post - never expected any of that, I have been quite overwhelmed. We usually have a celebration with friends on occasions like this, but unfortunately so may of them have died or moved, that a "gathering" would have been a sad event for us, instead we had lunch in Sainsbury's - how about that!
I am still waiting for the sapphires, although I am not sure what I would wear with them. Thank you all so much.

What a wonderful and modest post you made earlier today, how fabulous to have achieved such longevity and happiness in your marriage.

Many congratulations to the #ThePrintmissDuo

Enjoy your celebrations xxx

Printmiss, like many others I found your post really touching. The love you have for your husband and the life you've had together shines through in very few words. A heart-warming post. Congratulations to you both and I loved the bit about having lunch in Sainsbury's café. It's the little things, isn't it? Wishing you many more happy years together.

Many Congratulations to you and your husband PRINTMISS. flowers

What a lovely post and lovely answers too. DH and I have another 15 years to go before we can equal your achievement (it's our 50th anniversary on Saturday) but yes, he still holds my hand to cross the road too! smile

I haven't been keeping up with GN very well lately so I hadn't realised that your husband has been poorly. I hope he is much better soon.
I glad you both had a great day.
