Today I had the sudden yearning for a bowl of semolina! I haven't made this for years although it was a great favourite when the kids were little---with a blob of jam, it was tragedy in the Alps, and with a square of milk chocolate it was digging in the snow. Today it was simply hot semolina, made with a good grating of nutmeg and just enough sugar. Boy, did it taste good. I can feel a bout of nostalgia cooking coming on. What next I wonder--junket, French toast, drop scones?
"Old fashioned" expressions that young people have never heard.
