Last night I had a really good giggle !

Living close to the sea, I walk on the beach quite a lot and yesterday afternoon I got myself all wrapped up and was just heading out when DH said "what on earth? You're not going out in that weather are you?" "why not?" I asked. I admit it was blowing a gale and lashing down with rain, but as they say there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes, (or something like that anyway).

DH then decided that he would come with me. hmm

He then started to look for his hat and gloves (he's not a hat and gloves kind of man) and when he couldn't find them decided he would manage with a coat with a hood. The wind was wild and DH's hood wouldn't stay up and he spent the entire walk muttering that I was mad for wanting to be out in this and where were his bl**dy hat and gloves anyway.

Walk over. A nice glass of winered wine enjoyed with supper and fast forward to bed time moon. I am pottering around down stairs and I could hear drawers and cupboards opening and shutting upstairs. I creep go upstairs and peep around the door. The bedroom looks like a bomb site with all DH's stuff pulled out and there he is sitting on the edge of the bed wearing nothing but his underpants and a Sheepskin Deputy Dog/Sherlock hat with the flaps down ! grin

I just stood there for what seemed like minutes and then burst out into a fit of the giggles that I couldn't get under control. In fact between you and me, I almost wet myself. blush

DH decided that he might "cash in" on my apparent "joy" and got into bed with the hat on..... How wrong can one man be? wink

He hit 65 at the end of last year and I really don't know what has come over him since.... I even got some Valentine flowers this morning so now I am VERY worried.

My late husband always wanted my advice about shirt/tie/jacket combinations for work and usually wandered along from the bedroom with a smart top half but no trousers and the question was, "What do you think?" Every time I had to send him back to put trousers on before I'd tell him but he absolutely always did it!

My DF was always a smart dresser. He would say to my DM 'Do I look alright in this?' to which she would reply 'You can wear as top hat a jock strap as far as I am concerned'! They were very happily married even though she was rather dismissive of his question.
