It was 4 years ago today that Sil died from a pulmonary embolism following surgery for a ruptured disc. So unexpected. I cannot begin to say how proud I am of my daughter and small granddaughter (age 10) for the way in which they have rebuilt their lives. Dd also has health issues of her own to contend with which hasn't made things any easier for her. Life is what we make it. Seize the day everyone.

Well done to your DD - I am sure that having you there to lean on and rely on has been a big factor in them picking up the pieces and getting on with life. to all of you.
Your daughter and granddaughter have come through the hardest of times, well done to them and to you for supporting them. I have been in the same situation so know how sad it all is.
It does make you take stock and not stress the small stuff.
