Morning Mick, morning all.

It's very windy in North Leicestershire but we don't have any rain.

This morning, I am volunteering at a Carer's programme run by the Alzheimer's Society and, this afternoon, I am doing the school run in Derby. Good job I'm feeling better smile

Enjoy your Wednesdays everyone. sunshine

Morning Mick, morning All

Dry and clear here in the north bit of Norfolk. But windy with gales forecast. It looks like we may miss the Big Freeze as the forecast only drops to -1 at worst tomorrow night and then it warms up again. Gale force winds though so it'll feel chilly!

I've a batch of marmalade that needs finishing then its off to a workshop this morning. Finding out about servants working conditions 100 years ago at our Big House. Then a hair cut. I tried a different style to protect my new hearing aids, but it hasn't worked. Back to short back and sides.

Good to here you're firing on all cylinders again Kitty

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Still dark here but I can hear the wind getting up. I woke up at some unearthly hour this morning and couldn't get back to sleep. We are supposed to be going walking today, but somehow I don't fancy it. Glad you are feeling better, kitty. Have a good day, folks.

Morning All. Dark and draughty in our corner of Somerset. Dentist this morning. Pleased you are feeling better kitty. Energy is back here but how come I still have 'the cough'? Could be a challenge for the dentist. hmm. Hope Wednesday is kind to everyone.

Morning Mick Kitty and all the early risers.

The clouds in the Thames Valley look as if they have been taken from a Lowry painting.

Hope your busy day goes well Kitty and your health is back on track.

Nfk wish I could be with you today learning about conditions for servants 100 years ago. I am sure it will be fascinating. Just my cup of brew

ninathenana Wed 11-Jan-17 07:43:48

Morning all.
Rain is forecast for N Kent. At the moment it's still a little dark but it's quiet breezy.
I'm off to have my usual 'short back n sides' this morning Nfk it's the only cut my fine hair will take.
Glad your better kitty

kittylester Wed 11-Jan-17 07:45:42

I'd like to be with you too, nfk!

Good morning. Dry at the moment in Lancashire, windy too and I worry about traveling conditions.
GD coming today, I must make the most of it as she starts school this year.
Good to hear most of you are feeling better.
Have a good day.

Good morning everyone! Cold with steel grey sky here in southwest London.
Glad you are feeling better, kitty; what a schedule!

corner, hope dental visit today just routine. I survived part 1 of dental implant yesterday.

Busy day here followed this evening by Book Club.

Good morning everyone.
It's been very windy in Tynedale overnight, and it's still wild out there now. Visitors didn't come yesterday, so now we have a fridge full of food and I'm away for the weekend from tomorrow. The flat pack furniture didn't come either. Disappointing day all round!
Have a good day everyone.

harrigran Wed 11-Jan-17 08:28:41

Good morning, it is grey and raining. We have had gale force winds all night and had very little sleep with the noise. I am going to stay in the house today but DH has to go for blood tests.

Good morning from a sunny Colchester. No sign of a freeze or of the wind here.
It's Wednesday so it's ladies coffee morning in town.

PRINTMISS Wed 11-Jan-17 09:23:12

Good morning to you all, it is fine here at the moment, but the forecast, like many other places is not good. I am defrosting the freezer - it is self defrost, but it sometimes gets blocked and I have to defrost it - at least I hope that is all that is wrong, although it is insured. The equipment I was loaned when I came out of hospital after my operation is being collected today, there is a big demand on this, so I have tried not to keep it any longer than necessary. Glad you are feeling better Kitty. Enjoy your days.

Good Morning all.

Out in the garden for a bit yesterday - cutting back ornamental grasses and it felt really spring like. Blue sky and a light breeze today but not going to last apparently.

Cutting back leaves on winter irises today, I love their glorious blue it reflects the sky. Must sort out some mulch as I don't think I have sufficient in the compost bin.
The roses I planted in the autumn have all taken and are showing new leaf. The various Mediterranean plants I have are still thriving but I expect that they will be knocked back if we have the cold weather that has been forecast.

Good morning all from N Bucks.
I'm afraid the dishwasher is officially past it, apparently the motor has given out and as it is 9 years old too expensive to repair, so we will have to bite the bullet and order another one.
Glad to say on the other hand I am not beyond economic repair, my temperature has turned in the right direction but I do feel like the proverbial limp rag. Coughing a bit (boo) and very much hope this is not "Royal flu" tcrsmile like Her Maj not to mention cornergran and kittylester have suffered.
Got to get DH to our local hospital for today's blood test. Will be driving very carefully.

Started dull here in south Devon but then the sun came out and it's lovely. Went for long muddy walk with my Wednesday friends, the longest walk I have managed since knee replacement in October. Snow forecast for tomorrow.
