Must be horrendous being a drug addict or alcoholic. There but for the Grace of God ........ got to feel sympathy for those people.

When I see what others go through I realise how trivial this problem is but I suppose any problem seems difficult when one's experiencing it.

I could murder a fag right now but must admit that the gaps between the cravings are lengthening. I've ordered some lovely Mornys scented soaps to treat myself. ?

DD3 made me stop ! I was soooooooo sick when carrying her that I couldn't smoke ! , then I was too busy to get round to smuggling a ciggie in to the house . My Mum was so pleased for me , I was afraid to disappoint her too

DanniRae Mon 09-Jan-17 19:46:32

Well done wot. I have very little will power myself so know how difficult it must be for you. Keep going it will be worth it smile

wot Sun 08-Jan-17 20:33:51

Thank you to everyone. I hope I don't let myself and GNers down. I'm not a successful person usually.

grannypiper Sun 08-Jan-17 19:50:54

Well done

I gave up the fags 9 years ago after a health scare. I went cold turkey, I was terrified that if I had another cigarette I'd have a heart attack. I'd had a health scare 18 months before that and stopped smoking for a few months then foolishly started again then when the same thing happened again I thought I was a goner! I still love the smell of cigarette smoke and have had lots of dreams that I've started again and enjoyed it. I'm too scared to have another cigarette and my family would be so disappointed,
they were so pleased I'd stopped. I wish you luck in giving up.?

I've got some hyacinth bulbs coming up and hopefully will be able to smell them rather than old ashtrays and overboiled cabbage! ?

boheminan Sun 08-Jan-17 17:28:00

I sniffed your last thread very hard and couldn't get a whiff of smoke grin

wot Sun 08-Jan-17 17:24:22

Funny thing is, I've completely off alcohol as well! I just want sweets and iced water. And a curry would be nice!

wot Sun 08-Jan-17 17:22:22

I could not start smoking again after all your support! I would know even if GNers didn't!
