i miss being young and relevant. The whole structure of the day, the work environment. We don't realise when we're young just how quick it all goes do we.

lemondrizzle Tue 03-Jan-17 14:14:31

Yes i'm sorry too that some miss nothing at from their youth, not even more energy and better health?

Oh dear, I make an observation and it's a 'snidey comment' - not sure why you bothered with the grin, FarNorth...

FarNorth Tue 03-Jan-17 13:01:12

Oh dear, another snidey comment from Ana grin Yes, I know I'm free to ignore it but, oh well..

Sorry to see people saying they miss nothing about their younger days.

I miss doing skipping and roller-skating.

Write all the nostalgia threads you want to. Thousands of posters who might like to contribute.

I loved my childhood.
More energy though I never had masses.
Freedom to do what I wanted to and spend what I wanted to!
Parties which I enjoyed at the time.
Chicken supreme [does anyone make it anymore?] - school dinner.
Lots more really. Being able to remember better for one thing!

The energy, definitely plus no aches and pains.
The sense of life stretching ahead (!)
Sponge pud with pink custard from junior school.(yum)

goldengirl Tue 03-Jan-17 11:18:18

Nothing. There have been good and bad bits throughout my life.

Thinking back i remember getting wolf whistles and admiring glasses when i walked in a room. it's shallow i know but i miss all that. We don't get long at being young do we.

I miss
My natural chestnut coloured hair.
My (what I now realise) lovely firm arms
Being slim
Looking ok without makeup
Getting the occasional wolf whistle or second glance. ( I know, I know it's not the done thing and I was mildly embarrassed by the attention but now I don't get it I sort of miss it)
Endless energy
Breathing easy(I have late onset asthma sad
Good sleep
This all makes me sound really shallow [shrug emotion] but you did ask.

Antonia Mon 02-Jan-17 20:30:40

Not very much, except having lots of energy and being slim without having to think about it.

Greyduster Mon 02-Jan-17 20:03:07

Not a thing.

petra Mon 02-Jan-17 19:51:34

Nothing. Fortunately I survived until I was 18 and able to make a run for it.

Alima Mon 02-Jan-17 19:36:01

My Mum and Dad, being able to bend down and not need help getting up, having 2 ears in full working order, puff and sherbet fountains.

Jane10 Mon 02-Jan-17 19:32:23

My Gran sad

Ana Mon 02-Jan-17 16:55:27

Oh dear....another nostalgia thread!

(Yes, I know I don't have to read it/contribute to it. But fgs...)

lemondrizzle Mon 02-Jan-17 16:51:16

I suppose there's loads of things but a few that come to mind are...being full of energy with no aches and pains. Being able to look in a mirror and being pleased with how i looked. Sleeping soundly all through the night.....How i took those things for granted.
What do you all miss?
