We're staying at a large 'resort' hotel with DD and family. I'm finding it hell. Its packed with wound up kids and rude youngsters and every corridor and public space is an ordeal. I've been pushed aside and barged into and am generally miserable. Service, needless to say is extremely slow but understandably so given the numbers.
My question? When did I stop loving places like this? Have I changed or are the younger generation much less well behaved? Or both? All three most likely. Oh well, home again in 2 days. If only it was sooner!!
Good Morning Thursday 6th August 2026
I said I couldn't get the exact dates. We went one day earlier which meant we left one day earlier and we upgraded? So we only had five days and we had some comfort to escape when we'd had enough. I think it worked really well for all of us. I just find that my tolerance is starting to waver as I get older. I love them so much but only for short spells. I'm happy when they arrive but just as happy when they go. All this loving is hard work.
