I have G-plan: stacking little tables, £10 from Oxfam, and a chest of drawers remaining from a bedroom set which was a present to me in 1951!

That's what DH used to wear in the Far East when he was in the Army, J52! Great legs, big turn on! Go for it?!

Nice to know that we are retro rather than old-fashioned!

I am looking for a wing back chair though, in patchwork if anyone knows of anywhere that does them. Also, are they comfy to sleep in?

I still have Stag bedroom furniture in a spare bedroom bought in 1960.

I love the Stag bedroom furniture and could have inhearited some, but I've always lived in houses with fitted wardrobes.

Our is the design called duet. Light outer frames and darker drawers and doors and a very trendy headboard for those days, in onepiece with a single drawer included on each side. We thought we were really with it.

Ours is G plan with a dressing table that DH calls ' the flight deck'.
I should get rid of it in exchange for something more useful.

Our kitchen table is an ancient second hand one. However much I clean it, I am sure there are years of dirt embedded in the cracks! When we extended our kitchen years ago, we thought we might replace it with a nice modern one but the children (grown up) rebelled. You can't get rid of that, we have sat there for years, it's got memories! So, it is still here and every time I look at it, I think of them!

We do have a very nice second hand one in the dining room which is used once a year t Xmas!!!

DH has a Stag Minstrel tall dressing chest which we bought in a sale from a very good furniture retailer. I wish now we had bought the matching smaller one too, but at that time we couldn't fit it in anywhere. Now we can and of course they don't make them anymore.

I have seen Stag Minstrel for sale on Ebay when I was trying to match some, but we've been lucky enough to inherit a couple of things from an elderly friend.

I found a parkerknoll chair in local charity shop for £30! It's very comfy and I'm going to repaint it in antique paint and recover it in patchwork. But - I've been saying that since I bought it two year's ago and it's still the same as it was ??

For years we had a breakfast bar in the kitchen which is where the two of us eat but finally decided to take it out and replace it with a small round glass table when we put the house up for sale. Having decided against moving and then having the kitchen replaced we've kept the table. Our dining table is a solid oak German one which extends out to 11 feet with 3 panels with a matching wall unit. It cost a fortune about 20 years ago and has seen many family parties and celebrations over the years - we tried to sell the whole suite recently as we were amalgamating 2 homes into one and were also having laminate flooring laid but no one was interested - even the charity shops said it was too big and heavy so we decided to keep it. I'm so glad we did - it suits the room and the flooring and looked so nice on Christmas day. We plan to have the chairs reupholstered in Feb and it will certainly outlive us. It does however become a dumping ground for stuff until I can put it away!
