I have a lovely winter (as opposed to Christmas) jumper and a pair of plum coloured trousers to wear ... wouldn't have bought anything new but EWM tempted me!
We have 3 days to dress for (24th, 25th and 27th) but mostly casual which suits me fine.
I have a new Christmas jumper, bright red and complete with a red-nosed reindeer. Oh, and a new pair of slippers. (You either have style or you don't! I never managed that.)
I have a sequin top and lace skirt I made in my dressmaking class for Christmas Day but I've already worn it twice, so doesn't count as new. Have a chiffon/ lace dress I've made for New Years Eve party. May end up with the Primark gingerbreadman T shirt and leggings for Christmas Day ( which I wore last year)
A cashmere wrap/ poncho thing in Air Force blue, very cosy! Bought from an organic farm restaurant which had a lovely shop attached. Couldn't resist and have been wearing it ever since!
I have a "sparkly" jumper, which I cannot bring myself to wear, even in December. So I have given up on specific christmas wear. Though I do like to see it on others.
We keep it casual, so I bought a lightweight sweatshirt with a silver snowflake design. However, DGD announced late one evening last week that she needed a Christmas top for a charity day at school the next day, so I gave it to her. I don't know whether I shall get it back, but I am not going to buy anything else.
New pair of smart trousers in a deep plum shade bought a few weeks ago ... My Mum always had a new frilly "pinny" for christmas , Dad always bought bought it for her .
to wear on Christmas day ? I have a top I bought weeks ago that I've been saving. I'm not expecting any wearable presents. Mum always liked a new apron for Christmas day, it was a bit of a tradition.
