Listening to my GS playing Für Elise on the piano today. He found playing the piano so helpful as a stress buster when doing his GCSEs

This! A first time mum with three of her five babies at the rare breeds centre in one of our local parks. We had a walk and stopped off there. DH has a soft spot for pigs!

Seeing DGS as a "star" in his school nativity today.

I have been Christmas shopping with my eldest daughter. We had a lovely, chatty meal out, bought a few Christmassy things and, happily, she was willing to come home when I got tired and didn't moan too much!

Kittylester Mine has nearly gone as well, yes six nearly seven weeks. I can now do my U3A play reading and singing without much coughing.

seeing a friend's happiness when I found something she had believed to be lost, or to be honest thrown away in her absence.

Hearing from a friend whom I haven't seen for a while, and arranging to meet up for coffee.

Playing with my dog on the beach and the was shining. It was mild, the tide was out and the dog was ecstatic to be playing ball in the sea.

Little things that I so appreciate having survived cancer.

Finding out that a condition I have can be managed (hopefully) without surgical intervention, and that I will get some normality back!

Having barely slept last night due to a worrying family situation I bumped into a friend in town this afternoon and we had a coffee and a catch up, which was really helpful. Then coming out of the coffee shop a taxi pulled up next to us and the handsome young man who was driving it leaped out and threw his arms around me. It was one of my foster sons!! I haven't seen him for a couple of months and in the meantime he's changed jobs and is doing really well for himself. It made a difficult day much brighter.

We have had a worrying few days with issues in the wider family and I haven't slept so well. I moved into a spare room and slept till 8 and feel so much better.

Not really a little thing for me, a very big thing. Having decided back in August that I can no longer cope with the garden, I called in a landacaper. Today they began on my new easy to maintain garden. It is more exciting than Christmas.

a very little thing today [five mins ago] found and ate half a packet of chocolate buttons that was at the back of a drawer. feel better already.

Lovely 'warm' sunny day up in the Swiss mountains- so been planting the bulbs I didn't have time to plant before we went on holiday (we has snow then) and tidying up in the garden- and little 3 legged Minou was playing with me all the time, keeping me company- sweet.

Just back from lunch with two of my dearest friends, I am so lucky to have them in my life.
A lovely catch up, delicious food and our next lunch date booked for February.

We have our two gorgeous Diva girls with us tonight - first time they have stayed completely on their own..... We had a power cut during the early part of the evening and though they were scared to start with.... we played games - torchlight and candlelight - we told stories etc. etc. they were quite disappointed when the lights came back on...

We are off to see The Nutcracker Ballet tomorrow (a first for them) and they are so, so excited - me too if truth be known ...???

I met a very good friend for coffee at 10am this morning. Haven't seen her for about 2 months and we didn't stop talking for 3 hours

I then had to dash home to look after DGS while his parents went shopping. We had a really good time together and the time with him flew by too. It can be a bit fraught with an autistic child but today was brilliant - he reckons he's coming round after breakfast tomorrow for some more fun so he'd enjoyed it too, which is the best part
