Good morning everyone.
Thinking about going to church service this morning, first time for a few years. Visiting Mum in care home this afternoon.
Hope you all have a good day.

It is freezing here in Letchworth, road outside and all the cars covered in frost. I am off to Potters Bar shortly, just waiting for my lift, to play in a County Bowls match, just hope they have got the heating on at the venue, nothing worse than freezing cold bowls to play with!!!! Lol

Good morning all. I'm late today but so are lots of others, I see.

It is quite cold, but not freezing, in North Leicestershire and I have lots of bits and bobs to do today.

The big light switch on and street fair was really lovely. The Christmas tree festival was beautiful and we won a watch each in the raffle. I love the fact that churches are open to all sorts of community things nowadays even if our vicar isn't particularly friendly.

And, the Library won the 'shop window' competition. wine

Morning All

It's clear and bright here in north Norfolk. And looks like it might be a bit parky out there. Had lots of talk with kids yesterday at the NT pile about the 'Good Old Days' when we woz little - mostly about outside loos and no central heating. I don't think they really believed us!

Morning in staying snug then out to visit DS this afternoon. We had thought of braving Norwich to see the lights but the thought of the crowds and queues for car parks .....

Good morning from a cold, sunny Colchester.
Sunday roast today, pork with crackling. No other firm plans so playing it by ear.
Got the Christmas Radio Times so may curl up with that this afternoon.

Good morning, no frost this morning and it is dull and cloudy.
Visiting the GC this afternoon, they will probably be putting the tree up so they will be excited.

Good morning Michael and all GNs. It's going to be a clear cold day today in South Yorkshire which is good because DD is running in the annual Percy Pud 10k this morning. She is fairly new to running 10k and it is going to be a very big field so I think she is just concentrating on getting round rather than getting a good time. GS did really well in his cross country yesterday - we were chuffed to bits. All I'm doing is cooking lunch today - I may run into the kitchen and back ?. Have a good day, folks!

Another crispy and cold Good Morning from my corner of N Bucks. Frost on the grass and a clear sky .
Looking forward to seeing DD3 and SIL whom DH hasn't seen since August as he wasn't up to going to SIL's birthday bash in October and both of them have been globetrotting for work. Added bonus, I believe DD2 and little Flynn may be coming with them smile as that SIL is having to work all weekend .
So, happy Granny!
Have a lovely Sunday everybody, and wrap up warm if you are heading out. ❄️❄️

Good Morning all,

Just finishing sorting a few things before leaving for the airport. Should be back in Heathrow early evening and back in Wales with the family tomorrow. Hope the weather is OK for the trip across UK. Lots of snow on Troodos and more very welcome rain expected here over the next week or so. Have a lovely day everyone.smile

Happy crisp and sunny Sunday everyone!

Just back from a walk through the country side with DH , later we will walk into town for the Christmas Fair ...Its one of those days that make life worth living . Wishing you all a good day .

Gillyanne Sun 04-Dec-16 09:36:54

Greyduster... please can I ask what the annual Percy Pud 10kg is

I'm assuming its a charity race ? Do you run carrying a Christmas Pud ?

hildajenniJ Sun 04-Dec-16 09:45:45

Morning all.
I'm very late today, had a really good sleep, so feel refreshed. Sun shining, but lots of grey cloud so I don't know how long it will last. Our son is coming for lunch, probably sausage and bacon casserole.
Remember lost bunny? I may have tracked one down in the US! Enquiries ongoing. DGS still criues at bedtime for him.
Have a good day everyone.

DaphneBroon Sun 04-Dec-16 09:48:06

That would be wonderful hildajenniJ moral to mums/grans, always have a "spare" favourite toy! smile

Gillyanne The Percy Pud is a charity race which has been going since about 1998. It is run along a very picturesque course in one of the City's northern suburbs and is organised by one of the city's running clubs. People come from all over the country to run in it. It is always hugely oversubscribed and I have heard it said that the event "is hotter than Glastonbury"!! The Pud bit is that everyone who takes part gets a Christmas pudding! They have a lovely day for it today.

Greyduster Sun 04-Dec-16 10:50:19

The charity is Sheffield Children's Hospital.

Gillyanne Sun 04-Dec-16 14:44:06

Thank you Greyduster.. I hope all who took part in the race had a great time and your daughter enjoyed herself , and I hope a lot of money was raised for the Children's Hospital .
