Ken Dodd is one of my all time favourites - good clean humour , he leads you to a certain point - if you make more of it......never swears. Victoria Wood, Jo Brand. Have I got News for You, Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, Blackadder, Spitting Image to name a few.

Hate most slapstick, Tommy Cooper never appealed to me & hate programmes like Candid Camera & shows with video clips (mostly fake I expect)

Laugh at antics of cats especially also dogs, pride myself on my sense of humour, can definitely laugh at myself

Not so keen on individual stand-up type humour.

I love observational and political humour BUT give me my GD Rose(4) and a whoopppeee cushion and life is perfect.

I love the Liverpool humour, I am prejudiced of course, coming from there, although I live in Sweden now, but just "coming home" as soon as you get off the train, the humour starts, I really miss it its my kind of humour

Our house used to ring with laughter, until my boys all went off to Uni and the big wide world. They used to tease each other, and me, something rotten. In a fun way not a bad way. I missed that. When they all come back to see us the laughter comes back too. My 4yr old grandson now has a gleam in his eye and makes us laugh so maybe one at least has passed his sense of humour on? Hope so.

Peter Kay makes me laugh these days. I used to like Les Dawson and also the two Ronnies. Do NOT like female comedians.

I think Paul Whitehouse is brilliant and to some extent Harry Enfield. I loved the fast Show and still watch Family Guy although it's very un PC.

And, dare I say it, people falling over in the street!

Jenny Eclair is funny but rude.

The Armstrong and Miller clips were good....I've never seen them before.

I don't often find sit coms funny, but apart from some of the crudeness, I have laughed out loud at Still Game. Don't often find stand up funny. The Big Bang Theory makes me laugh sometimes. Simple situations can be funny.

I agree with all who mentioned Victoria Wood, but would also add Billy Connelly. Yes, you have to filter out the bad language, but the observational humour is wonderful. Does anyone remember the priest coming for a visit?

I saw Billy Connolly live in the seventies. I nearly died laughing. His humour was about what I recognised as my childhood in Glasgow. I forgave the swearing. I saw the Full Monty for the first time in the cinema. Very funny

I enjoy laughing but very few things make me laugh out loud so I will "giggle". Would I be pelted with tomatoes if I mentioned Catherine Tate's Nan? I find the shocking language funny. Being an American and brought up quite sheltered I'd never heard such language. I don't find the other characters she does as funny. I also seem to laugh at the show Fraiser it was so cleverly written.

Loved Frazier! Thanks Envious I'd forgotten about that, yes, very clever writing and such wonderful characters (although wasn't that keen on Daphne, she didn't ring true to me!).

Oh god yes, Billy Connolly's incontinence pants sketch makes me weep with laughter just to think about it. Also used to have a fur coat donated by an 'aunt' on our bed at night so his joke" Ma , he's got his legs in the arms of the duvet' appeals to me !

Another one here who loved Frasier. "The Innkeepers" with its explosion of cherries jubilee was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. And Daphne wasn't the only one who was in love with Nialls!

We have all the Frasier series on dvds, marvellous, so clever.The observational humour of Billy Connelly is very funny, but in general don't like stand up comedy.
I liked Jack Dee in the series Lead Balloon, and also the series Outnumbered, written by Andy Hamilton.I will be attacked from all sides no doubt.......because I really didn't like Victoria Wood ( not her personally of course) but her humour.I can't stand Jeremy Hardy either, if I hear his voice the radio gets switched off.Used to love The Fast Show, Stella Street,Red Dwarf amongst many others.
A sense of humour though, is not so much what you like to watch or hear, but more about seeing the funny or surreal side to events or people.

I've never heard of Jeremy Hardy, so he can't be that funny!

Some things can have me in fits but I can't put my finger on what exactly. Certainly clever word play. I lurve Milton Jones and, not quite so much, Tim Vine.

The only thing that can be guaranteed to make me laugh so much I can only read it on the loo is a book called "Anguished English" by Richard Lederer, which I may have mentioned before. Every page is full of unintentional mistakes made by misspelling or mispronouncing words in English.

I forgot Frazier even though I have watched the episodes numerous times and they still make me laugh. So does Dad's Army.
