What is it that makes YOU feel that you have reached old age?

I thought I would start this as a bit of a fun thread, so not looking for answers here along the lines of aching bones etc.
The thing that made ME feel old yesterday when on my long bus journeys( See the " What a Day" Thread ...ok the thing that made me think " Oh Boy you old fogey" was that when I was on the bus there were alot of Schoolchildren of various ages travelling too.

I was horrified by the state of their SHOES!! I know it isn't important in the great scheme of things, but most of them looked like they hadn't seen any polish for weeks if not months.

When I was at school we had shoe inspections, fingernails too as I recall. My Son always went out with highly polished shoes, when he was younger his Dad did it then we made sure he did it himself as he became old enough. Does this annoy anyone else?
By the way Son is 36 now and well beyond my duristiction...his shoes are a mess
