Count your blessings! I will never be a great aunt, let alone a great great aunt as I have no nieces or nephews.

I am equally unlikely to ever be a great-grandma. I didn't become a grandmother until I was 63 and given my families tradition of delaying the good things in life, like having children, until our 30s I will have to live to close on 100 before I make it up another generation.

I'm NOT about to become a great grandmother but a GREAT GREAT aunt. I think it's the extra great that did it!!

I've actually been a great aunt for nearly 30 years and probably thought it was funny to get such a title at the age of around 40. My most recent great nephew is only 4 weeks old.

Why do great or great great aunts sound so old and doddery?

The fictional ones usually leave shedloads of money to unsuspecting heroines but no chance here because my great nephews are richer than I am

You just have to roll with the punches kittylester I was made a GreatGreatGrandmother twice in the last two years I haven't felt the need to buy a rocking chair yet but I do knit and the I straighten out my 'grannyperm' because its entirely natural .
