I agree jalima. It is a bit odd. Best to just look and not think.

Jalima Thu 17-Nov-16 15:40:01

and I just find it a bit odd - have they been living overseas and are now coming home to live?
Why are they coming back?
Often it's the DC and DGC who have emigrated not the grandparents

over-thinking as usual

Jalima Thu 17-Nov-16 15:36:11

Sorry, it makes me sad because I am neither meeting anyone from nor going through Heathrow this Christmas.

Candlefran Thu 17-Nov-16 14:03:30

Alright! It is very sweet. smile

Flossieturner Thu 17-Nov-16 12:05:27

The only one I have liked this year.

Maggiemaybe Thu 17-Nov-16 09:11:53

Well, I found it very touching. Though not as touching as the intro to Love Actually, which was just scenes of people hugging each other at Heathrow, meeting up and waving goodbye, and which had me crying my eyes out before the film even started...

Must watch it again in the run up to Christmas smile

Come on folks, it's not real just a bit of fun. I thought it was funny and sweet. I know grandparents like that too.

J52 Thu 17-Nov-16 07:54:51

It made me smile as well! If only getting through passport control was that quick!

I expect Heathrow needs all the goodwill it can get, with the new runway controversy.

kittylester Thu 17-Nov-16 06:46:26

I'm with Nellie!

Shanma Thu 17-Nov-16 00:13:42

I love Teddies, have alot. This advert left me cold then I thought it was very odd. I do know and elderly couple who dress just like that though, that made me laugh!

harrigran Thu 17-Nov-16 00:07:03

This is the best Christmas advert. Yes the stewardess would get their coats for them, even if they stood on the seat they wouldn't be able to reach the overhead locker.

Nelliemoser Wed 16-Nov-16 23:04:38

Where is the inner child of some of you lot? wink

Candlefran Wed 16-Nov-16 22:50:17

Yes. The song is lovely. smile

gillybob Wed 16-Nov-16 22:48:31

I think it was Chas and Dave . roses .

Nothing like a Chas and Dave song to say it's almost Christmas. grin

Rabbit, rabbit, rabbit, rabbit

Candlefran Wed 16-Nov-16 22:47:43

Just tell me what it's advertising?! Heathrow? That's not something you choose. Either your plane flies from there, or you go to Gatwick. Why would they advertise it?

Candlefran Wed 16-Nov-16 22:46:18

Right.

Sweet.

hmm

rosesarered Wed 16-Nov-16 22:44:22

Sounds like Chas and Dave singing.

rosesarered Wed 16-Nov-16 22:43:48

Coming back from Spain ( ex pat bears!)Because things are better here.I know several who have done.

Anya Wed 16-Nov-16 22:43:19

What's happened to the 'willing suspension of disbelief'? sad

Nelliemoser Wed 16-Nov-16 22:38:39

Candlefran What planet are you on? grin It was really sweet just a feel good moment.

Ana Wed 16-Nov-16 22:37:25

I didn't get it either...confused

gillybob Wed 16-Nov-16 22:35:40

So sweet. smile

What is the to understand? Grandma and grandad (teddy bears) were either travelling back home to their grandchildren or else they were travelling away to see their grandchildren. Let's not overthink it.

Jalima Wed 16-Nov-16 22:33:04

It just made me sad

Candlefran Wed 16-Nov-16 22:30:26

And how come their coats weren't stuffed under the seat in front?

Candlefran Wed 16-Nov-16 22:29:03

So much I don't understand. Where were they coming home from? Why did Mr and Mrs Bear turn into a granny and grandad of the human kind? Why woud anyone advertise Heathrow Airport?
