oops 'room' sorry spellcheck!

SparklyGrandma Wed 16-Nov-16 12:17:31

yogagran sometimes I forget what I have forgotten...and go into a rom in the house, forgetting why I went in there, only to remember an hour later.

No not really - I may be boring but everything has its place. Keys all live on a rack; credit cards, cash & driving licence are in my purse which lives in my bag which lives in the cupboard; glasses are in a case on the front room table; mobile on bedside table if upstairs - on worktop if downstairs.; loads of pens in a cup in the kitchen. I'm otherwise not a tidy, houseproud but I do like to know where things are!

My mobile phone when it's ringing. It's always in my (quite small) handbag but always slips to the bottom, under purse, diary, cotton carrier bag etc. By the time I put my hand on it, the ringing has usually stopped.

Glasses: solve that by buying these upright glass cases, one each for husband and me, upstairs and downstairs, and the glasses always go back there, so we are stressfree regarding glasses now!
Cheque book, and mobiles, we have a tray on a cupboard just inside the kitchen door
upstairs, we have a small tray on the window ledge in the landing hall, for bits and bobs like wallets
when I'm in the house, I leave my keys on the inside of the front door.
When my husband is in, I have a coffee stand, just inside the kitchen door, i.e., out of sight of the letterbox, and all the keys go on that
When I'm out of the house. My handbag has a key lead which I attach the keys to
we are not saints!
I have attention deficit disorder (ADD) and need to make sure that there is a fixed place for these items, it works most of the time ; )

I solved the house key problem by attaching it to my handbag with a spiral, stretchy cord (bought cheaply online).

I seem to spend half my life searching for my glasses. Have you ever searched for something then later find it in the first place you looked? I swear there must be a mischievous goblin who removes things then places them back exactly where they were! We also have a sock goblin who only takes 1 of a pair but he never returns them.hmm

Just about everything at one time or another

Venus Wed 16-Nov-16 10:21:59

I can't find my leather skirt which I just had altered. I've looked everywhere! As for my glasses, who knows!

annodomini Wed 16-Nov-16 10:12:58

I've lost a skirt I bought for the Christmas season last year. Can't find it in either wardrobe. And it isn't under the bed, I swear.

GinnyTonic Wed 16-Nov-16 10:07:25

Oops - this has reminded me to take the pills smile

Jaycee5 Wed 16-Nov-16 10:06:34

I've lost the charger to my toothbrush. My flat isn't that big and I have run out of places to look. I will find it as soon as I have bought a replacement.

LadyGracie Wed 16-Nov-16 10:03:20

I put things away safely, repeating to myself where they are, then can't remember. Pens have legs in my house. House keys always keeping warm in coat pockets, which coat?

barbaralynne Wed 16-Nov-16 10:01:47

Words. I get part way through a sentence and the next word runs away and I can't find it!

blueskies Wed 16-Nov-16 09:53:57

I lost a box of chocolates bought early for a Christmas present. Then I found them and opened them.............

morethan2 Wed 16-Nov-16 07:43:56

I hid my purse in the house when I went on holiday in September. It's big, it's bright pink. I found it six weeks later in the crockery cupboard. I still haven't found my mobile.the most embarrassing thing I find is routing around my handbag for my keys in a shop. It's makes me feel all sweaty and flustered.

jogginggirl Wed 16-Nov-16 07:25:08

I definitely lost my sense of humour yesterday- I'm hoping to find it today ..??

Liz46 Wed 16-Nov-16 07:24:17

callgirl1. I am the same! I bought my GD some earrings for Christmas and can I find them!

kittylester Wed 16-Nov-16 07:02:03

I have 2x£1 coins in a little pocket on my car door - until DH uses my car and they disappear confused

ginny Tue 15-Nov-16 23:52:11

Pens, glasses, scissors, purse, keys, words, the gist of what I was talking about, the pill I just put on the worktop to take.

AlieOxon Tue 15-Nov-16 21:17:32

I lose - the next file I want in my computer!

AlieOxon Tue 15-Nov-16 21:16:42

About Michaelangelo's David, try this!

(I don't know about the boobs, but about the men - the Greeks thought that only devils had real size! The statues show the ideal....)

My £1 coin for the supermarket trolley. I used to have one in a pocket of each coat or jacket so I didn't have to fumble for my purse, only to find none in there. I then got one of those key-ring gadgets and all was well until Sainsburys changed their trolley design recently sad
