Bright and clear after earlier rain. Forecast is for more rain and wind. It's a cold morning too. I think I might get my woodburner going later. Went round the garden centres yesterday just for a look. DH bought some bulbs to plant in pots for spring time.
Today I am relaxing.

We have DD2 and Co staying. DH crept past the girls' bedroom at 6am, trying not to wake them, to be met by them creeping up the stairs. Let the fun begin!

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. A bright start in South Yorkshire, but don't know if it will stay that way. The sun is out at the moment. I have some cooking to do for tommorrow's family gathering and then this evening we are going to a firework display with GS and his mum and dad, so I hope that it stays dry. A late one for me, I didn't wake until 8.15 am bliss !
It's a dull grey say in N Kent and set to stay that way, gales forecast for later

Mornin' all. What a night! - I coughed and coughed and coughed. Happens every time I get a cold - weeks of coughing. Hey-ho. Why does my OH never ever catch these colds - it's not fair!!

Chilly and slightly overcast here on the Welsh border. The trees in the wood that fills our view are very beautiful indeed and are just beginning to reveal the view of the Black Mountains that they have been hiding from us all summer. But I will not wish the leaves away - they are lovely. It is nice to have something to look forward to.

Hope your cold disappears soon luck . My son is also suffering but of course as he told me my e-mail (twice) it is really the worst ever!?

A glorious day but decidedly parky. Grandsons coming tonight for usual firework party. Must dig out the wood for the chimnera and fireworks. Chicken, beef burgers and hot dogs with salad, corn and beans. Followed by fruit and sticky toffee pudding and custard .Food to gladden a couple of pre-teen and teenagers heart.

Dogs (3) will remain in dining room away from the noise with myself and daughter for company.

Good morning, earlier start than I would have liked as senior dog decided it was time to get up.Cold, grey and threatening rain here in Suffolk. Walking the dogs and housework on the agenda for me. I hope all of you suffering with colds feel better soon, colds are such wretched things aren't they?
