Where do I apply for a passport from Wales to England please? Don't want to be an illegal immigrant

Question to Granny 23

Are friends and family of mine 'immigrants' to England because they were born in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland?

If the answer is yes then I thank the lord I have never viewed them as such, they have been most welcomed and a wonderful addition to our family or good friends I love dearly.

I didn't think we could be classed as 'immigrants' simply because we move from one country in the United Kingdom to another anyway.

Ireland didn't vote, Yorkshiregel. They are staying as part of the EU. Northern Ireland voted to remain though.

Granny23, speak for yourself, i wouldnt want an open door policy for migrants at all, i left S.E England because of them.I now live in a village in Carrick where everyone in the pub voted NO. My brother voted yes then voted out in the E.U election ! I can never have an ounce of respect for Sturgeon or anyone else for that matter who totally and utterly disregards democracy and find it very sad that anyone else does.

Yorkshiregal I don't know where to start with this mish-mash so perhaps I could ask for the source of your information (which is all news to me). I am particularly wondering where you heard that Scotland had voted FOR Brexit when I have been reliably informed that we voted 62% to REMAIN. Please clarify this for me as I would hate to guilty of spreading misinformation.

Good luck to Scotland if they leave the UK. Why? They have been refused acknowledgement by The EU ie they come under the umbrella of the UK..they are not an independent country.. they have been allowed to run their own budget but they are still part of the UK. Ms Sturgeon thinks she is Queen of Scotland and she is deluded. When Brexit happens, and it will if Mrs May sticks to her guns, Scotland may have another vote on whether or not to try and stay in The EU. The EU will close the door and also she will not be allowed to cut Scotland off from the rest of the UK. Not all of the people in Scotland voted for her, and when they see that UK is doing well after Brexit they will vote for someone else. Scotland voted for Brexit, as did Wales and Ireland as well as England. Brexit it will be.

DM's name on father's side was Fitzhugh which was a Norman name. On mother's side it was le Breton and they came from Jersey. If you think that name is familiar, Richard le Breton was one of the (Norman) murderers of Thomas à Becket. Not much evidence of Angles, Saxons etc there.

If I was younger I definitely would be emigrating to somewhere with a more open and less insular outlook If I was in Scotland I d definitely want to break away to stay in Europe and if I had any ancestors from any where I d be relinquishing my Uk passport as soon as I could

Aren't the English descended from the Britons, Angles, Saxons, Jutes and Frisians? That Norman lot that invaded were not truly French, they were descendants of Vikings from the northern countries of Europe (Danish, Norwegian, Orkney).

Well how could it be a done deal when it relies on so many IFS. If the UK actually Brexits, if Scotland votes for Independence, if that is BEFORE the UK finally leaves the EU. Not only that, but it seems that a lot of younger unionists have been feeling disinfranchised by the rest of the UK because of brexit (and the effect it will have on NI - the feeling that the vote shows that the rest of the UK doesn't care about NI) so some unionist feelings have weakened since brexit.

Wendy4 almost half the population of NI are nationalist in their political affiliation and would like to leave U.K. Some of them even tried violence - for 30ish years.

Recently, about 60% of the voting population in NI voted to stay in the EU. There has been a big run on application forms for Irish citizenship. Since the B****t result, a lot of people here are feeling detached from England's stance.

Granny 23 what you post ( about Scotland being able to stay in) Is by no means a done deal ie.it may be what Sturgeon tried to get, but it hasn't been granted.If it was a cast iron deal in favour of Scotland, I could see a lot of people may vote for independance ( although how independent it would actually be is another matter as it would be exchanging Westminster for Brussels.)

'Immigrants' or 'refugees' fleeing from what England has become would be very welcome too.
