A wee preview of my nephew's long-haired cat named Piper. The flash doesn't do it any favours. Far too harsh. I like to prop the painting on a shelf and view in natural light. Then, it's a pleasing attempt...says I. 
Signs suggest I've another UTI...such a buggeration. I've a stand-by dose of antibiotics which I've started. Off to see the doc on Friday. Hey ho...as one of us lot would say.

I'm hiding from some incomprehensible snitty-ness out there. For goodness sake, its nearly Christmas, where has the kindness gone? Hey, ho, its a strange old world.
Other than that all is good. The sun is shining, always lifts the spirits, and the sky is blue. Flipping cold though.
I should be having a catch up day. Lovely family tea yesterday for our daughter in laws birthday, likely to be our last all in the same place at the same time moment for a while, so all the more special. So, I did manage a tidy up from last night, then I became interested in a tv programme I had recorded, then I began to fiddle with some paper, then GN - now its lunch time. Oops 
There is a large chocolate cake left from yesterday, please do me a favour and tuck in? Also some rather nice shortbread biscuits, lovely with a cuppa or Daphne's dram, so help yourselves.
Oh well, I have two hours before Mr C gets back when I will have no chance of finishing what I intended, if I concentrate I can do most of it - if I turn off the computer.......

When my sister was staying she showed me the quilt she is making. It is centred on our parents with the seven of us coming off it. Now she is concentrating on her children and grandchildren. Not only is she very clever at sewing but has gone to great lengths to get materials that reflect everyone's interest. It will be a real heirloom
I feel very inadequate between her and you lot. I can sew (one thing my mother did teach me) but I am not artistic. I can make a cake for here though
