(1001 Posts)Here we are again...
happy as can be
all good friends and jolly good company.
Never mind the weather,
never mind the rain,
as long as we're together...Woops she goes again.
A big, warm welcome and please continue to enjoy the companionship.
and
until I return tomorrow. x
I'm so sorry, kitty, your Teddy is so reminding me of our littlest one. He came out of the end and is now a little toughie, so hoping for the same for Teddy. Fingers and toes crossed, I do understand hoe worrying it is.
So sorry about Teddy and send him and his family my warmest wishes and prayers.
I could read it Db and it's lovely - made me well up. Sorry if this is bringing back sad memories for you!
Not at all, I was thinking how quickly they grow up and also taking comfort from what little fighters babies can be. I hope you can rely on the very bes paediatric expertise and care xxx
kitty that poor little mite, you must all be so worried. Sending love and (((hugs))) to you all xx
kitty that little soul has been through so much in a month. It would appear that he is getting the best of care.
Daphne I agree, butter would not melt. I could read it- touching.
NG* will he be able to wear trousers under his "dress"?! Have you been pinching my electric fire?
Wobbly may I remind you that us lot are saints outside the kitchen. Most of us have had our heads bitten off once too often so we all know how to behave.
Teddy and your family are in my thoughts and prayers too Kitty.
Kitty, please convey my best wishes to Teddy and his parents, I will be thinking of him constantly.
Late drop in. I should be asleep but buzzing from over activity and need a wind down. Not ora ticalmstuff like charley but visitor tour guide and cooking stuff. Enjoying it but so much more than I usually do.
soop and kitty, these UTI's are a major inconvenience. They certainly do pull you down. You will know well enough all the self management stuff so won't lecture, just send you both a big hug.
Daphne What a handsome shepherd. Trousers definitely needed underneath, draughty otherwise. Loved the words and sentiment, they go straight to the heart.
Now there are cats aplenty in the kitchen but never the catty sort
. The people are totally saint like within and outside of the kitchen. Honest!
The head is now ready to sleep, hopefully the body will catch up. Sending good wishes to all, particularly little Teddy and those who love him.
Morning all. Just popping in to say thank you for your kind wishes for Teddy. He is now breathing on his own but has to stay in to see if he can continue doing so. He is still being tube fed.
Hopefully, I'll be back later.
That is encouraging Kittylester - the collective power of GN prayer?
Hope his progress continues and his poor parents can get some rest. Babies and small children can make dramatic recoveries.
Good morning and good news Kitty . Hopefully he will continue to improve . The little chap must be quite a fighter x
Daphne it seems we have a matching pair of shepherds
Charlie its my daughters fire and I am not surprised you have the same - she is our style guru
Heading off to drop Sam at hers as he will be visiting whilst we are down in Bournemouth with my brother and SiL.
Could you spare a little collective prayer for my brother. He has his op at 0830 tomorrow morning to repair the stent that was fitted for his brain aneurism a few years ago now.
He was super lucky at the time and came through with flying colours. At the time the surgeon said 1 in 3 die on the table . So we're hoping he beats the odds this time too. The other possibility is of a stroke whilst in surgery so its a risky business all round.
Doing nothing was not an option because if it splits on its own its game over.
He's my baby brother and he's the nicest man you could ever hope to meet { I am biased
) . I can honestly say I have never heard anyone say a bad word about him. He brought his daughter up on his own and did a wonderful job and he is always helping other people .
So if all of that counts for anything he deserves to live a long and happy life.
So if any of you have a quiet moment to think of him tomorrow I'll take all the help I can get
I'll let you know how it goes xx
thinking of your DB and of you right now N&G
Our prayers are always listened to n&g they will be with you all tomorrow.
Well, thoughts and prayers appear to have worked for Teddy so I'm sure they will work for your brother - my thoughts are with you. A worrying time for you. (((hugs)))
DB Flynn is such a happy soul- I am sure that he has his moments but I am certain that they are few and far between. I do hope that your daughter is enjoying his antics. I love his big smile.
kitty these little souls are very ill one minute and overnight can make a remarkable recovery. He has had more than his fair share (as have his parents and GPs) within the first month of his life.
cornergran sorry, I know I must be a bit thick today but I did not understand what you were saying.
N&G I am pleased to hear that your daughter and I have such good taste- with both of us it comes naturally. I will be thinking about your little brother- sorry but I am not religious. An awful situation to be in when there are no options.
soop I do hope that "the letter" was sent off and that you receive a speedy reply. I have a feeling that if we shuffled off this mortal coil en masse many hospitals would breathe a sigh of relief.
I've just this minute returned home from ironing duties for my pal. Have borrowed her iron (until I can replace my own) as I've an entire mountain of laundry to get pressed and put away.
kitty Your wee grandson couldn't be in a better place. He will receive the best treatment possible. I've every reason to hope that he will be back at home, where he belongs, just as soon as the doctors allow. My middle son was in hospital at the age of six weeks. He had pneumonia. He's now 53 and the brightest and jolliest (and fittest) of men.
NanaandGrampy I am not religious but I shall be thinking and hoping for the best outcome when your dear brother undergoes major surgery tomorrow.
DaphneB Flynn is adorable. How quickly those six months have passed.
Just popping in to ask for more kind thoughts for Teddy who couldn't manage without help so is back on oxygen.
Apparently, the hospital had 6 babies like Teddy in yesterday and had to move them out of the ward they were in as they also had an influx of babies with diarrhoea and vomiting. My brother says the staff are as marvellous as you'd expect!
Still thinking of your brother nandg.
Lovely photo Db!
Wobbly, how is your daughter?
Hope you got to the bottom of the ironing soop.
Ironing done. Andy won (a tough match). Raining and a blustery wind. Rory and Bracken snuggled up side by side in the utility room. Internet down for a wee while this afternoon.
My thoughts are with all our Granspals who are having to deal with worries, trials and tribulations.

kitty Our posts crossed. Sending my love and very best wishes. We all look forward to better news very soon.
N&G, my thoughts will be with your brother in the morning.
