Agreed. I'm fed up with all these packets arriving on the doormat at this time of year, ie getting on for Christmas. It annoys me even more that I have to open them up to check our name/address etc is not hidden inside before I put the whole lot in the bin. It's all a waste of money - particularly the ones containing 'gifts' -and just puts my back up. When will these charities learn?

I got the same packet as you Rose and yes it annoys me too why spend that money on these nonsense gifts when the money could go to the charity itself

Since I did the bird survey I get phone calls asking to donate....no , sorry people come for st when I give. Monte do the survey next year.

Rosieroe I also have had my Paws letter from the CPL but I was lucky, maybe they had run out of gifts because thankfully I received zilch. Yes, they were asking for extra money but in a pleasant manner. They receive one donation from me when I pay my annual fee to remain a member.

The worst ones are the charities that send you a book of raffle tickets to buy or sell! Ive has a couple of charities sending free xmas cards, coasters etc.
I only donate to my local hospice not to any other charity.

Couldn't agree more - it is a complete pain and puts off so many people from contributing.

I'm selective about the charities I support. My favourite is Crisis, they don't bombard you with stuff and just get on with helping people.
