What makes a perfect wife ?

Just asked the obvious question in a new thread (well obvious to me)

So what we seem to be saying is that the perfect partner has imperfections. Which means that there is hope for all of us, especially me. Annoying traits may be another matter, when I think of women I know, I could not live with any of them as they all have little traits that would get to me quite quickly (and visa versa probably), perhaps it's due to 53 years of living together, but I can't think of an annoying trait that Mrs P has. (I'm not going to risk asking her about mine)

The perfect wife would be insufferable; who can live with perfection unless one is perfect oneself? And I'm not.

The perfect husband would make his wife feel perfect even if she isn't!

I am far from perfect as a wife but I like what DH said about me in his laconic way - he said marriage to me is an adventure- int that great!!

Dear God! Why would anyone want to be the perfect wife?? And who would actually want the perfect husband? The film ' The Stepford Wives' was fictional ,or at least I hope it was. I need half an hour on Mumsnet now to regain my equilibrium.

I don't know what makes a perfect wife but I do know I'd hate to meet her! I like imperfections. They are what makes people interesting.
