Sat in the garden yesterday while DH cut the grass, can't remember being able to do that at the end of September before.

Rain, and more rain here,?? but still warm-ish, so not all bad.Out and about shopping/browsing today.

It's a wet day in the Tyne Valley. Going for my hair cut later. I hope it fairs up a bit by then. Got to look my best for the Edinburgh meet-up tomorrow!

Grey and very breezy in Norfolk too. My back is feeling better today so I may go off to do a stint at Blickling if they've room for me. I've missed the place.

There's a very busy grey squirrel taking nuts from the walnut tree, peeling off the green covering and burying them all over the place. They're not really ripe yet, but he's very keen. There'll be trees coming up in the lawn again next year.

Good morning, 'Michael and all GNs. Your lunch sounds good, Mick, but I think I am coming down with cornergran's lurgy. We have to go over to Chesterfield this morning and I was hoping to walk down to the river for a spot of fishing this afternoon, but I'm keeping my powder dry at the moment. Good morning from a cloudy Colchester. Very warm here yesterday and still warm and dry this morning.
Haircut this morning and then off into London. DH and I are going to a dinner to celebrate his 40 years service with London Underground. I will have to make small talk with the company bigwigs.?

Enjoy lunch and don't eat as much as I did last time I had a curry. Felt terrible after totally stuffed.

Still in bed so not sure of weather but still very dark so my guess is dull and maybe rain today.

Still trying to clear rose bed. But may instead try to sort dog out. His lovely stripper lady who we saw 3 months ago and apparently in the best of cheerful health has been told she has about a month to live. It absolutely shocked me and I keep thinking of that poor soul.
