Anyone got an appropriate/inappropriate ringtone on their mobile? I currently have stones 'Brown Sugar' DH has 'Highland Cathedral'. The bagpipes certainly turn heads.
I am thinking of changing to 'Them bones them bones them dry bones' any suggestions? grin

My daughter found one that said ' oh God it's your mother, get the phone it's your mother ' American but funny

Mine is a duck, an increasingly loud duck as I just don't hear jingles. It's great as long as you don't mind the look of panic on people nearby as they think a giant duck has arrived in their midst!!! grin

Oh I'm just going to have to get one of these smiley noises! I was on a bus the other day when a very common ringtone sounded - there were at least 3 people fumbling in bags and pockets before it was answered smile Any recommendations for the best sites to check please?

Skullduggery, I live near Killoscully, "Killinoscully". It's a lovely little village in Co Tipperary, where they film in the pub there.

I used to have the title music from the film Halloween, but unfortunately my phone went off when I was visiting York Minster, it started blaring out just as it was really hushed and the choir started to sing softly in latin, I was so embarrased digging around in my handbag in a panic trying to shut it off as fast as I could, needless to say I changed the ringtown after that

The boogie woogie bugle boy of company b, makes sure I can hear it when it's deep in my bag. I did once have Alexander the Meerkat who used to shout that I had an important call coming in, but I accidentally left my phone on when I was giving a talk to about 50 people causing great mirth to them and embarrassment to me.... so no more Alexander!

My dog barking ringtone will see off all those pesky cats and ducks......

Mine is seagulls and crashing waves because I wish I lived near the sea. Text tone is Bhuddist temple bell and email is a chirruping bird. I've had them all for ages and still like them. My ex has the test match cricket theme tune.

Craftycat Sun 25-Sept-16 12:12:55

I have Tom Hark by The Piranhas- it is what they play when my rugby club ( & England RFC too now) scores a try. It is very loud & always cheers me up. Frightens the life out of anyone nearby though.
I used to have the Whoo Whoo bit form Sympathy With The Devil - Stones.

SusieCook Sun 25-Sept-16 12:22:28

You could always put your phone on silent/vibrate if you are embarrassed by your ringtone

NonnaAnnie Sun 25-Sept-16 12:25:12

My favourite ring tone is the Hitchcock's Psycho shower scene music.

blubble Sun 25-Sept-16 12:28:48

Mine just goes Buzz Buzz. Quite distinctive.

I have NCIS:Los Angeles for my ringtone and a Knock Knock for messages. DH has Captain Pugwash and a bird sound for messages. Only trouble is lots of people have that one (3 of our friends for starters) so it always causes chaos when it goes off!

Angharad56 Sun 25-Sept-16 12:54:54

I have The Archers dum de dum on mine

Theoddbird Sun 25-Sept-16 14:28:40

I have Gene Kelly singing Singing in the Rain...

grannypiper Sun 25-Sept-16 15:19:22

mY DH used to have "CANT TOUCH THIS" as the ring tone for his ex wife ! made me howl with laughter

joannewton46 Sun 25-Sept-16 16:43:41

The theme from Star Wars. Can't be missed whereas the "normal" ring tone I always assume is someone else's phone.

Lewlew Sun 25-Sept-16 16:46:30

I have an old low tech phone, so it's just a chimes thingy. But my husband got fed up with the same problem mentioned above with his smart phone when everyone uses the most common ringtone. So his now speaks to him in a no-nonsense female voice and says:

"Dai, your phone is ringing-- Dai your phone is ringing-- Dai, your phone is ringing"

(I had suggested "Answer your damn phone, Dai", but he rejected that one. Would have been appropriate as he often doesn't get to it in time.)

Solved the problem, and gets a lot of laughs! grin

How do you actually get to choose a ring tone, I have a set menu on my android and am only able to choose from there...confused

Wobblybits Sun 25-Sept-16 19:04:22

On Android :-

Settings >
My Device >
Sound >
Ringtones >
Add >
Sound Picker >
Choose your tune from those you have previously uploaded.

Jamesiesgran Sun 25-Sept-16 22:07:28

My ringtone is a duck quacking. My OHs usual retort is your duck is quacking..again?. I do get some odd looks when it goes off!

Anniechip Sun 25-Sept-16 22:53:03
