I don't think about the 'C' word until after D's birthday at the end of October. I know I no longer have a cake and party to plan but it's just something I've kept too.

I go on holiday (Lanzarote ?) on the 10th November and refuse to think about IT until I get home again!!

I have planned a holiday from mid November to early Dec- just to get away from the longer and longer pre Christmas hipe, adverts and synthetised American Xmas music sad

... and I love Christmas, real Yule of yore.

Oh yes I have the diary not really thinking about anything else yet.

Yes. But having siad that I have bought my 2017 diary.
I have significant dates[if that is the right expression] happening in 2017, and dates to put in soon. I saw a diary that was good enough for what I need, so I bought it.

If however, your friend was just getting prepared for IT, then yes,far too early!

That made you look didn't it ...... Today I received a 2017 calendar my usual C present from my dearest friend in NZ Well I know it's has to travel a long way but post usually only takes a week, so a bit premature to arrive in September Isn't it ?

I can't bear thinking about IT until November
