This thread has become so surreal, I'm going to have to resort to a glass of to cope with it. The real stuff not that ghastly Sanatogen. As we say here in N. Ireland 'boke'!

We could have a plentiful supply of Zimmer frames in the wings and a good supply of Sanatogen Tonic wine. Do they still make it?

may I suggest the Caberet dance as performed by Lisa Minellie, no high kicks ?

Pittcity we will have to have a row of high chairs behind the dancers and a couple of ambulances waiting outside the hall. If one has had a hip replacement one must not sit down on a low seat, hence the correct height of the chair, just in case- we cannot afford to be sued. Thanks for reminding me- attention to detail is very important.

Will there be a line of dancers? I have been practising my high kicks! Got as far as one and needed to sit down.

I think I have an idea for the opening of the Panto. A voice says "Welcome to the Gransnet Mash Up Pantomime. The curtain swishes back and all the characters are on stage singing an opening number. The cow, the donkey, the dragon, the ugly sisters, Peter Pan, Baron Hardup..... I can't remember how far we've got.

Welsh? It took me long enough to learn English coming from Scotland and moving among the Sassenachs.

If we time it right, the show could end with a bang.

Think we have a problem Gillybob , perhaps the script writer could make sure the cow and the dragon are not on stage at the same time

Is there a Welsh speaking member in the cast who could /would be one half of the dragon?

An offer too good to refuse gilly, will happily don the required apparel - as long as the elastic is strong . No sense of direction, though, so could be an interesting route.

I don't see why not Anniebach will you be filling the whole dragon costume or will you need a front/back end to help you out?

Might not be a good idea to stand too close to me (the back end of the cow) as the combination of cow farts and fire breathing could bring the whole panto to a disastrous end !

Hello Cornergran As the back end of a cow I am currently auditioning for my "front end". Not a speaking part but very responsible as you would effectively "lead the way". One thing I should mention is the Charcoal Knickers which must be worn at all times.

Hello, is there a part for a late-comer? Preferably non-speaking? Happy to be part of a crowd or don an animal costume? No experience but a quick learner .

Thanks for the link Wobblybits. I think there are plenty of costumes on there that would pass for chic and stylish in a Pantomime way.

Anniebach - what part would you like? Me and millymouge are two of the ugly sisters so there's a vacancy but we want to be chic and stylish - definitely NO stick on warts, that kind of thing, more as outlined above or Merlin sounds like a good idea or a Welsh Dragon.

Can I be the dragon if you're having Merlin? My poor OH is always saying that I'm breathing fire these days. Proper grumpy old woman.

Yes!!!! I think you can be who you like. I grabbed Peter Pan as I have a secret wish to fly. World is your oyster. How about Merlin? Seems appropriate being Welsh or a dragon even better!!
