The start of the slippery slope?

It was warm yesterday and I was tired, but sitting watching the Tour of Britain on the TV with a cup of tea the inevitable happened. I suddenly realised there was a warm wet feeling - and I woke up to find warm tea soaking my clothes and an upside down mug on my chest sad. DH, of course, found it very funny, but maybe this is the start of a slippery slope...?

I have given up wearing plain coloured tops now, as they invariably end up with a nice gravy, tea, tomato sauce pattern on them drawn there by the invisible magnet that is hidden somewhere on my chest, just waiting to attract any food that is on its way to my mouth. My DH says with a gap that size how can I miss!

I never sit with tea in my hands but I often fall asleep and wake up to find it has gone cold and I can never get through an episode of the antiques roadshow without falling asleep, I think it must be the theme tune as I am fine with other tv programme it cannot possibly be an age thing smile

This started happening to me, any sit down brings on a nap towards the end of the day. I use a tea towel at home to protect clothing - a perfect excuse to have some flowery Cath Kidston ones.
Out its a bit more difficult, today I met a friend for lunch, I was dressed in navy tee shirt, patterned skirt.
Looked down as I put my raincoat on to come home, to see a patch of tomato sauce mid chest. Oh no!

Lilypops, mine are 38ff so more to aim for! And, with DH it's his belly!?

Not too much to aim for in my case kitty (every cloud...) so my lap is the usual target. However as I said before, indoors a tea towel tucked into the neck of my top does the trick.

It made me laugh as well. I have done that.
I dont think that wearing your best clothes when you are around small kids is a good idea at all. The amount of different substances that can get from them onto your clothes it's just not worth it.
My DD always wears her old stuff about the house. It's almost impossible to get a small child out of highchair without getting food mess on your own things.

Well, each to their own, I suppose.
