Billy Connolly - he's naturally very funny
Brenda Blethyn - talented and funny but not afraid to laugh at herself
Penny Smith - intelligent and interesting but great fun too
Benjamin Zephania - a polite, gentle, talented person
Alan Bennett - I love his observations on the absurdities and sadnesses of life

Gosh -what a lot of different guests! If I had a dinner party it would be a miracle as I don't cook and don't know anyone to invite but guess it would be

I think I would choose the rest because of their action-packed lives, so lots to talk about.

Isaiah, I cant say I understand a lot of the book about him, so he can explain it first hand!

Paul - he takes up a lot of the New Testament, so he would need to be there. Plus which he started from a perculiar position compared to many other Bible characters, because he was on the wrong side first of all, in which he persecuted the Christians.

6th one - not sure. Jonah? A woman? Mary or Ruth. Moses? I will come back to you on that if I may.

Leonardo da Vinci, because if he could come up with designs for flying machines etc in his lifetime, then what on earth might he come up with in the age of the computer?

Peter O'Toole, as he was in THAT scene in Lawrence of Arabia, purely so that I could gaze at that beauty, no conversation needed!

Robbie Coltrane, just because!(ok, he's witty,funny, and in an odd way I found him sort of endearing in Cracker)

Anne Boleyn, because I would love to hear her side of things (not that it would necessarily be true )

I too would choose Michael Palin - he has shown me parts of the world that I am never going to see
Princess Diana - So much has been written about her I would like to hear her side of it all.
Colin Firth - dressed as Mr Darcy because I fell totally in love with him and he was kind enough to send me a signed photo after I wrote to him.
Rod Stewart - so he could sing to us.
Winston Churchill - to let him know how much I admired his wonderful speeches.
My MUM - just so I could see her again and tell her how much I Loved her - (Now I've made myself cry.......)
