Coincidence?

H and I had been married 12 yrs when I eventually became pregnant. Our D was born two two years to the day after my dad died. My mum comforted herself by thinking that dad had made way for the much wanted baby to be born.
Slight different to the op but it made me think of it.

I know what you mean. Your rational side says it is coincidence, but somehow it seems more than that.

When my sister died we had a family lunch on what would have been her birthday. As we raised our glass in a toast to 'absent friends', the metal finial on one of the ceiling lights fell off. This had never happened before and neither of the other lamps ever lost their finials.

The uninvolved would say co-incidence, but we knew.

I have recently had to have damp proofing work carried out and the damp proofers started work on what would have been my late DH's, birthday. The builders are coming to do the reinstatment work on the anniversary of his death. Just a coincidence or, as I would like to think, his way of letting me know he is keeping an eye on things for me. I know many GNs don't believe that is possible but that thought is helping me through a very stressful time.
