No Revels in local Sainsburys today, had to buy Dairy Milk and Sainsbury's dark choc bars (both reduced, so I've saved money- #virtuous)

An excellent recipe: open bottle, pour into bowl, drink. Bit like 'Revel salad': open packet, pour into bowl, eat cold.
Oh no. Am at too loose an end. Am writing nonsense!!

Season well and serve with crusty bread and a good Pinot Noir. Or just serve the Pinot Noir.

wot -I hope you enjoy the book. Its a very light read. Book 2 has been submitted but lots of work to do on it I expect.

But chat is the main purpose, Jane, the rest is just an excuse! (The kind of craft I was thinking of isn't exactly people industriously plying needles, though, it is more tying knots in old handkerchiefs and boiling them up with onion skins. Nice and messy and no skill involved.)

I think the craft group idea sounds lovely! I'm just making my sixth photo album (they call it scrapbooking) which is about my animals I've got and had. Then it's going to be one of my cottage and garden. I always make one of any holidays I have but haven't had one this year.

Jane Are you still at a loose end? I have just read Gracesgran's suggestion of a summer craft group, coinciding with me having to tidy my cellar (flood - don't ask!) and thinking that there was space for just such a very amateur crafts/blethers get-together.

Brilliant idea -if you mean that we could flip through possible local ideas for activities rather than on the pull! I bet some clever app designer could come up with it. We've got Streetwise but there don't seem to be many people contributing to it.

Perhaps we need a sort of Tinder for at -a- loose -enders?

I didn't do much either. Full day tomorrow though -AS group in the morning then afternoon out with DD and DGSs. Going to do something cultural then tea and cakes!

It has poured with rain this afternoon.
We did go out for an appointment this morning but, apart from some washing and some cooking, I have done sweet fanny adams.
Must buck up tomorrow.

Gosh that's an interesting idea gracesgran. It might be too late to organise this year but, as this is the first time this has happened to me, forewarned is forearmed. I'll remember it for next year.
I'm doing a turn at the festival fringe (just a wee 15 minute spot at a writers event).I'll need to do some preparation for that but it won't take long.

Interesting thread Jane10. So many things stop during the summer so why not start a summer class or group of your own . I bet you are not the only one thinking about this. If you could do it from home - 2 to 4 people perhaps you would not need to be taken over by it. Summer reading group or summer craft group perhaps?

If you live within easy distance of London or the coast, or any other beauty spots, you can have plenty of days out. Do you need to do any decorating or decluttering?

I'm having an OP mid sept and I will be doing a bit of a 'reading fest', as will not be able to gad about much for two weeks!
As regards something for you to do.
Would agree with getting out for a brisk walk everyday ( something that I miss at the moment)
Have you any old Photos that need sorting out or going on the computer/Ipad?
