I've just seen Rev Kate from Goggkebox on another programme which was a bit strange. it's got me wondering.whuch famous people we've spotted (or met) out of their natural habitat!

I once passed Prof. Brian Cox on the concourse at Aberdeen railway station. I've also had the ex First Minister, one Alex Salmond, wedged in the front of my Fiat 500 and he's a lot bigger than you think! He was only a constituency MP at the time.

Lullydully do you know, I can't remember. I've just had a look at the invitation - Tuesday, 7th July 2009. Maybe we were there on the same day smile

I was queuing with a friend at the railway station a few years ago. She commented that if the queue didn't start to move we would miss our train. The man in front of us said "You can go in front of me if you like, I am buying tickets for tomorrow". After a few minutes chat my friend said "You look just like Leo Sayer". He replied I am Leo Sayer". I had been wondering who he reminded me of.

I often see Penelope Keith in local Waitrose and occasionally Tamsin Grieg. I squeezed between Richard E Grant, Mel Smith and another person in Donmar theatre bar. Kevin Whately was there too..all to see Imelda Staunton do a Diva evening.
Saw Alan Yentob in a cafe on the South Bank Waterloo on Saturday & sat behind the Spall family at the theatre once too! Ben Kingsley sat along the row from us when we went to see the crazy circus Archaos on Clapham Common years ago! Oh and at another recent theatre trip saw Mike Leigh enjoying the same show!
Someone once insisted my aunt was Pauline Collins and demanded her autograph. Better than my dad, he was mistaken for Max Wall shock

As a teen met several 'pop' stars as I was a sad autograph groupie and hung round stage doors in Kingston /Putney/Twickenham!!
The Who used to record in studios opposite the school where I first started teaching and we saw them often!

Oh forgot that used to meet Alan Titchmarch and his wife Alison at one time, before he was famous, as they are (still) good friends of friends of ours.

Eddie Large used to sit next to me in hairdressers while he was having his hair permed and coloured.

I share my taxi driver with Carol Vordeman.
She takes preference over me in bookings![ hmm]

I saw Alison Steadman in the Ladies at the National Gallery and sat next to Michael Portillo on a plane coming back from Venice. He was very pleasant.

Stood next to Martin Clunes in Boots in Bridport where he lives/lived. Clearly sent out for some minor first aid stuff. Looked stressed out in shorts and wearing flip flops!grin In the 80s I had a drink with Sue Johnston in a theatre bar and Paul Greenwood was there too (PC Penrose in Rosie). Attended the same dinner as Peter Lilley, Norman Fowler and Malcolm Riftkind (deep joy nothmm). Passed Warren Clarke in the street when he was filming locally. Stayed at the same hotel as Nick Watt (Lofty from Eastenders).

But I would like to brag and say my brother sat next to Kylie Minogue on a flight back from New York - he was smitten from that moment on! grin

Many years ago I saw Dennis Waterman near Great Portland street tube station in London and years later Judy Dench in Shaftesbury Avenue after a night at the theatre with friends. It was then that I realised how short she was. I was mortified because my friends were oohing and aahing at her, whereas I was attempting to treat her as a normal human being walking down a street.

Saw Leo McKern (Rumpole) walking around a market in Bath

charleygirl you reminded me that when Dennis Waterman and Rula Lenska were an 'item' they used to bring a daughter (his I guess) to the same dance class my daughter attended in Wimbledon! She went on to be an actress too.
