Good Morning Saturday

Just along the coast from you PRINTMISS so we have a glorious day too - hot already but not as humid as of late.

It's the penultimate day of "Le Tour" (de France) today - in the high alps, with stunning scenery again, so DH and I will be glued to the TV in the cool of the sitting room this afternoon. May even make a jug of Pimms for refreshment!

Late again! I will get a black mark. Beautiful morning, very exhausting though. We had a tree cut back last year, and I knew it would make a difference to the heat in the kitchen. I used to give us lots of shade, but not now. It was a necessary chop, so we cannot have everything. I am now going to lie down. Enjoy your days, and keep cool.

Another beautiful day in Norfolk although there was a dense sea mist early on.

We're off to the tip to drop off a car load of rubbish from DS's house move yesterday, then to the broad to change the "new" sails on the boat for the old ones which are now in better condition! Then back to DS's new abode to help with a bit more unpacking.

Very tired today and still drinking my tea, old age and heat certainly catching up with me.

Good morning all. Some blue sky and some cloud here. I am off on a geology trip in the Matlock area. It should be good.

It will give me a day off gardening. My arms are tired from planting two Astilbes I bought from the "nearly dead plant" trolley in Homebase. I soaked the pots cut back the dried foliage and they look good to go, with new shoots at the bottom. £2 each instead of £8.

Shopping this morning and then a walk hopefully, though my back is killing me at the moment - has been for a week. Note to self: let someone else dig up your strawberry plants next time! Good morning from an overcast north east. I am staying at home today as it is air show weekend and everywhere will be busy. Yesterday I spent the entire day in the garden, I hope it is warm enough to do the same to.

It's hot already in North Leicestershire and set to get warmer! Yesterday, I had the really good idea of changing the herb bed into a flower bed - now to carry it through!
