Walk. Anything over 10 metres is beyond me.

TriciaF Fri 15-Jul-16 17:18:55

All of those. Especially the running and the mountains. It's the knees sad
Sprinting was my best sport.

The first time I discovered I could no longer run was when playing 'Kick the Can' with the DGCs. I picked up the youngest to 'sprint' back to the can and nothing seemed to happen. It was just an ungainly stagger shock

I'd also like to be able to do stairs without hanging on like grim death to the bannister.

Yes. It happened very suddenly to me obieone. One minute I could run like a good 'un. Next minute, just couldn't.

Run. Often wonder what I'd do if I was walking through a field and a cow started chasing me.

Obvious answer I guess, avoid fields and cows.

breeze That made me titter. grin

What Neversaydie said. Add to that, I have a physical condition that means I can no longer run, so energetic games of footie with GS are out. Getting in and out of rivers when I'm fishing is becoming increasingly difficult too, not to mention staying upright in the current! It's only a matter of time before I'm washed out to sea!

Walk without pain!

Linsco56 Fri 15-Jul-16 15:47:37

Agree with obieone can't run as fast as I once did. When you're young you think your legs will take you anywhere. I can just about manage a 10k jog (not run!)

Has anyone tried the sitting-rising test? Take off shoes, cross your legs and lower yourself to the ground without using hands or knees then try and stand back up the same way. I can do it but not easily and I did have a bit of a wobble on the way down. Too many of these cupcake and these wine

God, where do I start. I'll go off and make a list. You'll get it by.... Wednesday!

annsixty Fri 15-Jul-16 15:32:48

Hill waking, staying awake after about 9 PM and looking after the GC.

hulahoop Fri 15-Jul-16 15:29:48

Kneeling or sitting on floor makes playing with GC difficult they are very good though
And will transfer to table for me

obieone Fri 15-Jul-16 15:14:25

Run as fast. The weird thing was, I didn't notice I couldn't until I couldn't if you see what I mean.

fiorentina51 Fri 15-Jul-16 15:13:58

Doing the splits.

chelseababy Fri 15-Jul-16 15:10:27

Wear heels and a mini skirt.

Neversaydie Fri 15-Jul-16 14:52:00

Climb mountains
I can walk about 6 miles on the flat and cope with a reasonable incline but it makes me sad I'll never see the view from the top of Snowden or Skiddaw again (and the train would be cheating)

pollyperkins Fri 15-Jul-16 14:51:21

Diving at the swimming pool. Running upstairs. Getting up easily When sitting on floor or even crouching down!

My friend's mother died recently, and she asked me if I would sing at the funeral. I did have a wee practice , but a combination of age and illness meant I wasn't confident I could come up with the goods.
