These things make me happy

Two things struck me with your post, Moxeyns, firstly, good luck with your new romance, I hope it goes well. Life is always better with someone to share it with. Also, your archeology find, how fantastic was that, something I would love to do. I was at Vindalando (?spellling) recently when they dug up a tiny bead and I was allowed to hold it....wonderful feeling.

The night sky from my verandah here in the South Pacific...no light/noise/air pollution - just perfect silence, and more stars than can be imagined. The feeling of being part of the infinite, and infinitely at peace.

Have loved reading through these! Will just add a few! A freshly cut lawn, a cappacino, the hugs and love I receive from my five GC. Going to town with my daughter and zooming around with ease in my scooter. The birds on my bird table. Having all the family round and the happy laughter. My collection of bears. A pain free day! Also life itself!

Having read the messages, we women don't seem to need much to be happy, just the simple things in life, like nature, a good smell of that nature in the house. It doesn't come up to complicated things.
I wonder if you asked grandfathers about this?
My husband definitely has different views about this.
i never had a career, apart from managing a family, abroad ( in the UK and in Germany), but I always tried to integrate and find the happy moments in my new country, which was not always easy. Happiness is where you find it, even if your family does not agree, esp. the kids. We survived though. Love your Gransnet!

Truly happy only when I can have my family round me. As that happens too rarely because of distance, I have to be content with good books and the company of friends.

Last weekend, at my son's, me having had a foot op, my gorgeous 2 year old grand daughter insisted on kissing my foot better. That one little thing has made me ridiculously happy for the whole week.

Having lunch with my daughter. Talking g to my grandaughter about her school day she's had exams every day this week apart from Tuesday which was a teachers strike day. Listening to my husband singing in the shower and a nice cup of chai tea
