I was wondering what exclamations everyone uses other than actual swearing (OK that will start a debate about what is swearing and what isn't.
In this house
Gordon Bennett gets a fair airing as does Stone the Crows (much favoured by my Grandpa).
What's yours?

Bloody hell
Oh for Heaven's sake
Oh for God's sake
Rollocks
You are kidding me! (this to any inanimate object that isn't behaving, or even to an abstract concept!)

I worked for a London wine merchants in my youth. One of the directors always used to say "Schloss Bockelheimer!". I have to say it is rather satisfying to use as an expletive, it has all the right sounds! grin

Flipping Norah. But usually I just swear, always in English though- due to my good breeding ;)

rosesarered Sat 02-Jul-16 18:05:26

I'm a fan of 'bloody Hell' or 'buggeration' as stress words [worse though, now and again] DH never swears at all [not sure how he manages it].

Ana Sat 02-Jul-16 18:00:00

My DH was a great fan of Bollix! (You have to pronounce the 'i' distinctly, of course...wink)

Elrel Sat 02-Jul-16 11:47:12

At his grandfather's funeral my cousin's son gave a lovely tribute which included the fact that as a child he thought his grandfather's 'Blithering Idiot' often said to him was a term of affection.
In a sense I think it was!
