That sounds lovely MOnica and slimming, I might try that over the winter months. I have done similar but with rice included and peppers. I like a good stuffed aubergine. smile

I cheat. I cut the augergine in half lengthwise, scoop out the interior, which I mix with the meat and then spoon the meat into the aubergine shells, spread the top with low-fat fromage fraiche and scatter grated cheese on top. Much less 'faffy'

Yes it was faffy with the bechamel sauce but I cut a few corners here and there smile

Wozza's moussaka is amazing. DH makes it sometimes, he says it is a bit 'faffy' but worth it.

I made a Moussaka from the Anthony Worrall Thompson 'The ABC of AWT' cookery book, and I have to say it tasted bladdy amazing.

Sometimes I get it spot on and other times fail miserably. Interestingly it's the recipes with expensive ingredients that tend to go the wrong way for me.

Having said all of that my grandson had gone home when I made it, but the Lego remains everywhere smile
