Ok. When this predicted (by one of our own) war starts up, which country will you be taking your bow and arrow to? And why.

I will be in the Italy camp. Because I like pizza, pasta, Rome, bougainvillea, and extremely old buildings. And sleepy cats lying in the sun.

I'm veggie, so we'll need food drops. Maybe ASDA will deliver. grin

Greyduster Fri 24-Jun-16 09:14:13

scrag end stew once a fortnight could just about sum up the prospects from now on!

Elegran Fri 24-Jun-16 09:10:23

Will there be enough lamb for all of us? St Kilda is a small island, there won't be grazing for many of them. We may have to ration them (one chop once a week? Scrag-end stew once a fortnight?)

ninathenana Fri 24-Jun-16 08:30:42

If they're small forget the chops I'm partial to leg of lamb.

Greyduster Fri 24-Jun-16 08:18:30

They do have sheep, but they're very small so don't expect much of a lamb chop!

wot Fri 24-Jun-16 08:10:14

But you would only have puffins to eat on st Kilda!

WilmaKnickersfit Fri 24-Jun-16 07:27:45

Alea why don't you join me on St Kilda? We can be the first ones to repopulate the islands. Do you like wild life and isolation?

Nelliemoser Fri 24-Jun-16 07:19:09

Our resident Sooth sayer?

merlotgran Thu 23-Jun-16 22:32:56

I'm sure I'll be very welcome, granjura but what about my bow and arrow? grin

Anniebach Thu 23-Jun-16 22:12:43

Greyduster, you will be most welcome and wouldn't get lost . I know the most beautiful waterfall , it has caves behind which go right into the mountain

Jalima Thu 23-Jun-16 21:59:52

They will arrest you at the border merlotgran if you attempt to enter Europe if Brexit goes through!

All those lovely Euros you intended to spend too, on their tourist industry

granjura Thu 23-Jun-16 21:42:48

Merlot, only if Brexit goes through would you be illegal immigrants.

If the vote is for 'remain' you will all be allowed to go to Italy perfectly legally, or France, or Switzerland, or ...

Greyduster Thu 23-Jun-16 21:35:47

His wife might - he'd probably be hiding behind a waterfall with Annie and BB!

TriciaF Thu 23-Jun-16 21:22:21

I've often thought that our corner of SW France is so isolated and quiet, it's a safe place if there's ever a war, or terrorists. The Nazis dd come down here though, in 1943.

Alea Thu 23-Jun-16 21:11:31

Western Isles for me or maybe Orkney or Shetland.

Jalima Thu 23-Jun-16 21:06:55

I was thinking earlier Greyduster - if I turned up at that man's door and sang 'I can sing a Rainbow' in Welsh (must practise first though) would he send me down the yellow brick road to the Land of Oz?

Greyduster Thu 23-Jun-16 21:02:51

BBbevan and Anniebach DH and I would join you - but we'd probably get lost! grin

Jalima Thu 23-Jun-16 20:50:54

we have been practising tonight with lasagne and salad (however, the wine was Australian hmm)

merlotgran Thu 23-Jun-16 20:48:49

If we all descend on Italy, won't we be illegal immigrants? grin

Maggiemaybe Thu 23-Jun-16 20:42:07

Yes, Italy, I think. I'm very partial to risotto and prosecco.

Maggiemaybe Thu 23-Jun-16 20:40:42

Well in the 80s in the days of Protect and Survive, I was all set to hunker down in the cellar with the family, my tinned food (and tin opener), my transistor radio, bucket for waste and mattress up against the door. I had a lot of it down there in readiness (I was a bit of a drama queen). We can hardly get down there now to do the laundry because it's housing, amongst other things, 30 boxes of DD1's gubbins, a broken treadmill, 50-odd pairs of shoes and 6 or 7 guitars belonging to DS. So I'll be heading for the Med as well. Might as well be warm and well fed.

Anniebach Thu 23-Jun-16 20:27:34

Welcome BBbevan

BBbevan Thu 23-Jun-16 20:21:45

Since we are moving to deepest, darkest Wales soon,I will join Anniebach grin

whitewave Thu 23-Jun-16 20:08:36

grin my posts are often like that! Fingers don't keep up with brain or is it the other way aroundhmm

Anniebach Thu 23-Jun-16 19:59:08

I will carry on as usual , in deepest darkest Wales , pllenty of caves behind waterfalls
