Dishwasher, was it supposed to be a joke and she has taken it literally, I don't have a toilet brush either, not a problem as I seemed to be the only one that thinks the toilet needs cleaning!

I like the idea of whipping up a froth with bleach!

I have toilet brushes. I use them to whip up a froth in the loo with bleach. I enjoy doing this for some strange reason

Never had a toilet brush and never want one. Nasty, germ ridden things Yuk and double Yuk

I could live quite happily without a loo brush. In fact I didn't have one for years. I always wiped with loo paper if necessary after using. If you do it after flushing, the water is clean and you're going to wash your hands anyway.

Putting a bit of paper in the loo before you "go" means that no stains or skid marks will appear anyway.

When cleaning the loo I am wearing Marigolds so I dive right in and have a good scrub.

However as the rest of the family didn't seem to get any of this, I installed loo brushes.

They never get used. (As far as I know)

I know somebody who sticks the toilet brush in the dishwasher to clean it.

Apparently she got the tip from watching Four in a Bed.

I don't like the brushes that sit in wastewater. We have a couple of loo brushes that go into a holder, but do not sit in water at the base, as the handle has a collar ? That rests on the holder rim, IYSWIM. They are very cheap, at approx £2.50 each, so can be replaced regularly. If you bleach your toilet bowl, swish the brush around and maybe leave to soak in the loo for a bit, then it's clean. Not OCD I promise
