DH going out

Ha ha sounds bit like me.
My SIL says he counts to 5 as he waits for me to come back in for what I have forgotten!
He calls me Columbo
He would l go to leave and then turn back and say
" just one more thing..."

I try to get round it by writing lists
Got 5 on the go at present as going away with DD and 2 GS for a week in caravan in Wales.
Got everything including Baby bath!

My DH won't admit to being forgetful (this from a man who has left his hat behind twice this week) he just says I must have forgotten to tell him or he so busy he can't remember everything!

DC are very useful
When we used to visit my GM.
She would get my DC to find her teeth!
Thankfully I've still got my gnashers but my little GS are very good at finding my glasses and car keys.

Oh, no, can't have been, we weren't going to Switzerland! DH left the back door wide open because he put out the rubbish at the last minute!

My DH went to Amsterdam a couple of months ago on a business trip and left all his medication behind. He has a fair few cardiac related meds which he can't afford to miss having had two heart attacks. I had to scan his repeat prescription, email it to him and he then had to find a pharmacy to dispense it. Cost him a bit but I don't think he'll forget again. Thank goodness for technology sometimes!

I once parked up in the centre of town only to come back and find I had left the car door wide open ! I have also fallen asleep on the sofa only to wake up at 3am in the pitch black with the back door wide open -very scary .

I spent 20 minutes looking for my car at a big shopping mall years ago.
When I stopped panicking and started thinking I remembered that I had taken DH's car.

I did that yesterday Jalima! Doesn't take much these days ...

Losing your car is nothing to do with age.

Our son phoned a few years back to say that his company car had been stolen from a motorway services, asking what should he do. I said contact the services security & phone the police. The motorway service guy went into the car park with him and was satisfied that the car was not where he left it. He then asked him where he was going, problem solved, he had crossed the bridge and come out into the wrong car park, his car was still on the other side of the motorway, DIH

I have just spent 10 minutes reading, and chuckling, about DH - in his many disguises. Such a relief to know it's not just him. ? a sense of humour is a wonderful thing. .

GandTea I heard my son's alarm go off around 7am while I was in the bathroom so I shouted for him to get up and ask him what time he was in college that day. It took him a second or two to groan back "It's Saturday!"

My mum was once running for the bus, shouting for us all to hurry as we would miss it. My dad strolled along not taking her on which just made her shout louder and get more flustered. It took a while for the penny to drop with her that we had took the car into town!

I was walking home from the shops one day and, as I rounded the bend in our road, my heart skipped a beat as I noticed my brand new car missing from outside the house. I ran the last few steps in a panic.... and then remembered that I'd driven up to the shops

I have to write H a list if he's going into town.Even for one or two items.
He's been known to go to collect his drugs from the pharmacy, buy some milk and drop off his dry cleaning. Only to return without the drugs !

I think we de-skill our husbands ..Well I've de skilled mine. I'm very organised and efficient (friends and family insist I'm not actually controlling).Consequently I just automatically sort everything and he doesn't have to bother .All I expect him to renember for holidays is his medication ,wallet and sunglasses (and even then they are on my check off list.And it's so much easier not to have bother/think about it as he gets bored with such details
DD generation don't let their partners get away with it.

Neversaydie how true I pack everything for holidays but my son in law has to do his own thats after he washed and ironed it all. On anothet note DH after years of me suggesting it and him refusing he is going
to buy a man bag to keep glasses phone keys etc. in so this may make a difference.
