I'll nip up and check that DH's is in tact. 
Whenever he shaves it off the skin under looks so pale that we all insist that he grows it again. I actually like men with beards - well not hipster beards - they could have all manner of wild life in them!!

I believe there is some scientific papers that postulate that when someone is very familiar with something their brain does not readily see changes.... Bit like you're in MrsGandT's cached memory
