Hi yesterday my grandson 11 asked me if I could buy him a onesie and ugg style boots to go with them. Where could I buy them only looking to spend around £15

Grantj10 Mon 13-Jun-16 20:38:33

He's only size 4.5 / 5

Then I'd save them for the next camping expedition. His feet are way too small for a size 6. Lots of alternative footwear around as discussed on other threads.

He wants to wear the ugg style boots though if I see some size 5 ones that are under £10 I will buy them

Just read this thread for the first time and it did make me smile. smilewink

I cannot imagine my very sensible 11-year-old (nearly 12) grandson ever contemplating wearing such an outfit. They are more likely to wear Hi-tops than Uggs.

Where can I but Hi-tops, anno and how much do they cost? Do shoe zone stock them?

Alea Tue 14-Jun-16 07:16:12

I was just about to suggest ShoeZone. Why not buy Vans instead?

Grantj10 Tue 14-Jun-16 12:44:39

Why are people going on about shoe zone ? Best place to buy high tops is probably primark or sports direct

annodomini Tue 14-Jun-16 13:14:47

Market stalls have all sorts of fake brands of shoes and boots.

Grantj10 Tue 14-Jun-16 14:03:12

Market stalls are brilliant got my grandson loads of t shirts and hoodies recently very cheap

rosesarered Tue 14-Jun-16 14:08:01

are some posters assuming the worst?

rosesarered Tue 14-Jun-16 14:09:07

it's hard to tell. smile

Grantj10 Tue 14-Jun-16 14:11:49

Assuming the worst about what rosesarered ?

rosesarered Tue 14-Jun-16 14:18:58

the thing is Grant that every now and again, we get a bored teenager starting a thread about shoes/plimsolls and clothes for children, they say they only have a small amount of money to pay for them and then sit back and watch the fun.
assuming that is not you, [welcome to the forumsmile]then I hope you get some helpful replies.BMI Bargains sells onesies and probably boots/slippers.

After 2 hours going around 8 shops me and my grandson finally found a onesie he wanted

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 14-Jun-16 20:27:37

That's good! Hope he keeps warm on the camping trip. smile

Jalima Tue 14-Jun-16 20:29:40

I do hope he doesn't get bullied for looking -ridiculous-- not like the others in their jeans and Vans

Grantj10 Tue 14-Jun-16 20:35:38

The onesie and ugg style boots are only for walking and hanging around the camp site be in normal cloths when we go out

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 14-Jun-16 20:37:49

Yes. Anything goes on campsites. Anyway, he's only 11!

Grantj10 Tue 14-Jun-16 20:46:49

Plus he will probably always be with his older step sisters anyway

Grantj10 Tue 14-Jun-16 21:28:19

How will he look rediculous ?jalima

Grantj10 Wed 15-Jun-16 18:21:11

This is the onesie I bought my grandson

rosesarered Wed 15-Jun-16 18:27:00

Now we know Grant because nobody would buy this for an 11 year old boy! is that a little pink teddy I see? grin

rosesarered Wed 15-Jun-16 18:27:59

Ah well, you had a bit of fun at least eh?

rosesarered Wed 15-Jun-16 18:29:28

I would quite like one like that ( but being an oldie I won't bother.....takes too long to get out of!)
