Late start here as we headed out first thing to a garden centre about 20 miles away. Not for the quality of their plants per se ---more for the quality of their breakfasts 
!!
Anyway, duly fuelled up AND having purchased plants, pots and necessary items its time to get on .
The estate agent came back to us today and on Monday we sign on the dotted line to sell. We have decided to have one Open House , run by the agent whilst we go somewhere nice for the day. Its all by invitation only and gets us away from the visit here and visit there ( for which we are far too untidy!!) . They wanted to do it in 2 weeks but we have settled on 4 as we have so much that needs to be sorted.
So I expect our stress levels to rise over the next 4 weeks.
Sorry to hear your knee was so bad Ann I have bad knees ( not to your level I suspect and I use and Advil from the states. It does do the trick but its Ibuprofen based so that has its down sides). Sounds like your friend has moved from that to acquaintance. Better that you know and adjust your expectations accordingly than be distressed. We'll throw a party for you here ! After all we have more cake makes than you can shake a stick at !! I shall bring alcohol, because although cake is nice - alcohol is a necessity when your knee hurts!!!
Oh Nellie sounds like a right few days. Hope the little chap is well now.
Well we have DD2 , and DGS3 & 4 coming for the afternoon , so I'm off to set up the outside toys as the weather is still nice. Lollies all round !!

Nelliem you've had a nasty fright. At fourteen months, your wee grandson has certainly been in the wars. I'm happy that his parents are close to a specialist hospital. If such an episode occurred in this area, the patient would have been airlifted to Glasgow. Twenty minutes by air. Three and a half hours by road. Have since read that the wee patient is home again.

DaphneB The gunnera is fighting for head-room in the branches of the trees. No way am I going to have the energy to "weed" that plot of ground.
Nellie I hope the little one is recovering well. N&G yes jam making in full production at my house, blackcurrants are a reminder of childhood for me. I love growing them and make jam and pies for pudding for Sunday lunch. Plenty for sharing with GN's too. Calory free, soop's law

NanaandGrampy Why is it that many garden centres serve good food, especially breakfasts? One of my sons considers breakfast at their local garden centre, to be a huge treat.
Your forthcoming Open Day is a very sensible idea. As you say, you can present your home in it's most favourable light (everything far too neat) and relax with a day away from the stress.

I arrived home this morning to a answer phone message from the Victoria Hospital. A lady wishes me to return the call. I've tried several times. No response. Maybe I'm to be offered an earlier date for the procedure. Who knows!
I must do a few outstanding jobs around the house. Then I shall watch a little Wimbledon...depending on who is on Centre Court.
