Bella..... 'Ve haf vays of making you walk' ( valk?) ?
Number even if you don't need the tablets just coming off them can affect you.I came off statins after taking them for 8 years, and felt like you for a few weeks, then it lifted and I was fine.

Bellanonna Tue 14-Jun-16 19:08:11

number. I agree about the ladylike cussing ! Hope your problems soon resolve.

numberplease Tue 14-Jun-16 17:53:25

I can believe it Bellanonna, but Soop probably curses in such a way that it sounds very ladylike, unlike me!
I`ve been cursing because I still can`t access my emails, haven`t been able to all day, keep getting the error triangle, so does my daughter, so I hope there`s nothing vitally important waiting for me. I also wanted to reply to a friend`s email, but can`t do that either, frustrating!

Bellanonna Tue 14-Jun-16 17:34:11

Still don't believe you soop

soop Tue 14-Jun-16 17:31:14

Bellanonna hmm ask bags...but don't repeat anything she tells you. wink

soop Tue 14-Jun-16 17:30:07

I hope that you lovely lot will forgive me if I dash away right now. I've done zilch all day. No food prepared. Washing machine bunged up with damp laundry. Midges all over the window sills that need vacuuming up. I've never known them be this bad. Must be as a result of the very wet winter.

Ironing duties tomorrow morning. Back with you early afternoon. You have virtual hugs from me. Stay safe and I shall catch up tomorrow. [flower] smile moon

Bellanonna Tue 14-Jun-16 17:28:27

soop. Blue language? You? Just don't believe it. !!!

Bellanonna Tue 14-Jun-16 17:25:41

Can imagine the frustration of piss awful computers. I've now got an iPad and no complaints so far. It does mean, though, that I'm on here more often.
lona it's only another 5 days. Not too bad in the grand scheme of things.
number I've had some days like that. Weepy after an infection that's lasted 3 months and a painful knee that's made walking difficult. I can only walk Herr Flick style. That's dragging one leg behind the other, for those who haven't watched '-Allo 'Allo. Just been for a rather painful cortisone jab in my knee. My GP practice doesn't do jabs so I had to go privately. However the consultant is tall, dark, and very handsome. So I spent a rather pleasant 15 minutes with him. Now await the bill.

Hope you get sorted soon Number. We don't need these weepy episodes but I've had so many, especially with my own pneumonia recently and DH having sepsis X 3.
I said on another post, didn't anticipate retirement being like this.

soop Tue 14-Jun-16 17:24:27

Thank you, bags for delivering my message. Have just returned home from hospital visit and...hey ho...the computer sprang into life. I can't begin to tell you how cross it made me at lunchtime. I cussed an awful lot. Big, bad, very blue language of utter frustration and disgust.

number Have you consulted your GP regarding stopping your medication? If not, please do so ASAP. You could be doing yourself more harm than good. I'm worried about you.

Care home visit this morning. K has suffered from a major stroke and cannot form words. She sometimes shouts with frustration. M was upset because she thought that K was angry with her. Got them to hold hands and, after a wee talking to, they became friends again.
B, our neighbour whose wife died one year ago today, is in a secure unit in hospital in Lochgilphead. He was brought to a private room by a male nurse who sat outside the door. The lady I went with has known B since he was a boy. We found it difficult to hold any meaningful conversation with him. Within the span of twelve months his dementia/depression has taken it's toll. We intend visiting him fortnightly. I did get a reaction when I mentioned that his Saltire was flying proudly at the entrance to his drive. He gave a thumbs up. smile

Lona please make sure that he also provides a packing service- well worth the extra money.

Tara and I have snoozed the afternoon away- there has been little of interest for me on TV this afternoon- I hate horse racing. I think that we will still have an early night- I have no idea why I am so tired although stress plays a part I think.

I have a steak for supper- at least I can only manage half of it so that is tomorrow sorted also.

Lona a communal garden sounds fine, at least it will not be your responsibility to mow the lawn, weed etc. That does appeal.

soop I do hope that you get your computer up and running soon- I have no idea how I coped before I bought mine. I have to admit that there is a slight addiction!

Pouring down outside, I suddenly remembered that Mia went out after her dinner, looked out of the window and she was squeezed into the corner between house and garage, behind the wheelie bin, still getting wet, but not drenched. She was looking so pathetic, so I opened the door, she rushed in with a very loud miaow of complaint!
I`ve had a bad few days. Feeling so very lethargic, upset tum, completely and utterly tired but can`t sleep, and feel really weepy. My daughter thinks it could be because I`ve stopped taking all the tablets I`ve been on since the summer of 2013, they didn`t seem to be doing me any good, so I thought I`d save the NHS some money by not renewing my prescriptions.

Lona Tue 14-Jun-16 15:45:11

Phoned to make a tentative booking with removal fairy and he's busy on the 1st so it's provisionally on the 6th now . I'm feeling sick again ?

thatbags Tue 14-Jun-16 13:26:42

soop asked me to pop in to say that she hasn't been able to log on to her "piss awful computer", that she is just off to visit a pal in hospital, and that she'll try again later smile

annsixty Tue 14-Jun-16 11:04:39

lona my appt last Tues was for 2.05and I was done and dusted in 2hours which included the treatment, so I was impressed. Then staff were very nice and I was pleased. When my knee is done!! I may move there for my treatment but have opted for the Alex for now as evening appts are easier for someone to take me.
I will cross everything for you for your move. My neighbour is hoping to move on the same day as you. She got a buyer for her house and put in an offer on a bungalow in Jan. it has been a long saga with delays, a dreadful agent and a bolshie vendor. Things could still go pear shaped even now. I would have pulled out months ago and found somewhere else.

Lona Tue 14-Jun-16 10:35:34

ann and Charley flowers you both need a slobby day today and if the weather with you is as dire as it is here, then you will be happy to be home.
Ann, ds and I are at the MR eye hospital on Thursday. The last few appointments have been at lunch time, which has worked out quite well.
I hate the early morning ones.
Charley I am only moving about a 3 minute drive away! It's the only flat in this area with a communal garden that I can afford. I'll post a photo when I've uncrossed everything ?

Charleygirl Tue 14-Jun-16 10:05:16

Tara would never give me the cold shoulder- my cleaner is here now, hoovering away. Tara hates the sound of the hoover but knows she is safe especially if she is near me. She loves her mum.

Charleygirl Tue 14-Jun-16 09:59:11

NanaandGrampy like football season ticket holders I have a season ticket for my GP surgery. Because they are so decent I act as a guineas pig several times a year when the medical students go there to learn about osteoarthritis. I am over 70 and get fed up being asked if I can wash and dress myself. This is after a discussion re the adaptations I have made to my home etc. They may have brains but lack common sense.

I made my GP laugh yesterday- another group of students are coming next week and I said to her I may tell them I arrived there via a 2 man ambulance and with her holding a gun to my head to act as a guinea pig.

NanaandGrampy Tue 14-Jun-16 09:49:04

Mmmmmmm onion gravy!! An oldie but a goodie Lona !

Hope you're knee is feeling better Ann . I suffer with bad knees but not at your stage yet I suspect, so I hope you have a lazy, snoozy day planned ?

Charley sounds like you could have a seat with your name on it at the GPs!! Hope the new pills kick in. Tara may still be talking to you but I heard she has been complaining in certain circles ! She is debating giving you the cold shoulder smile

We've had a little rain but there's plenty more to come so being indoors is an excellent idea !

Charleygirl Tue 14-Jun-16 09:28:16

Lona you may have mentioned it before and birdbrain has forgotten but are you moving miles away or closer to civilisation?

I had such an exhausting day yesterday visiting hospital, GP surgery x2 and dentist. I discovered that my BP was at melt down so I am on more drugs. I was in bed with the babies last night and had a decent 8 hours sleep, waking once during the night having a massive fight with my duvet, kicking it and poor Tara was in the line of fire but she is still speaking. She does not appear to want to go out today so that is fine with me. We can slob around together. It is very humid but I am waiting for a torrential downpour soon.

annsixty Tue 14-Jun-16 09:21:59

Feeling very tired today. I finally got my eye injection at 9.15 PM and it was9.50 when I got home. I am usually in bed then!!
The good news was that although the PDT may take some time to work the fluid present had gone down slightly.
I hadn't taken my stick and my knee was letting me know so it was 2 Zapain and straight to bed.

Lona Tue 14-Jun-16 08:45:42

Good luck with the parking n&g, it's a nightmare at all medical establishments round here.
I'll always have a hug if there's one going smile especially on yet another day of monsoons!
More packing today after a quick trip to the shops for some thank you cards.

Why am I now feeling hungry and bangers and mash sounds so good? Onion gravy is a must though. wink

NanaandGrampy Tue 14-Jun-16 08:34:12

Good morning all !

The grey day and forecast rain all day has made me struggle to get out of bed this morning. But fudge found here in the kitchen helps !!

I have to go for an ECG today which in itself is nothing. Its just a precaution but the parking is likely to induce a heart attack !!! Why is there never enough parking?????

On the plus side my lovely daughter is coming to do my ironing ( in exchange for overnight babysitting duties !)

Lovely bangers and mash dinner with my other daughter and DGD and DGS. We were treated to some singing ( very bad ...poor love has inherited the family voice !) and some karate exhibition and a lot of cuddles.

So, all in all - my life's not half bad smile , I hope all of you are doing well too. If anyone needs a hug -I'm ready smile x

NanaandGrampy Mon 13-Jun-16 20:14:46
