WELCOME to our newest kitchen. 
I've popped in briefly before washing the actual dishes waiting on the draining board. I see that there are many messages to read. So, I shall potter off and do what any decent housewife does (shan't elaborate) 
after which, I shall return and deal with you lot. 
ann and I may share the same surgeon. Hope he's ready, willing and able to manage us both. 
Oh those pictures. Wonderful. G&T spotted on GN thread this morning which is great news and I hope means feeling much better. 
Nothing wrong with a good 'lurk' G&T as long as it's not behind a tree on the common! Sometimes, when feeling a bit low, I don't feel up to posting a lot, or on anything too controversial, as it can make you feel worse. But having a read and keeping up with what's going on is fine in my book. Pleased you are feeling a little better at least and hope lots better soon.

DaphneB Your husband must feel utterly washed out at the moment. He's had a tough time recently...as have you. Three pints of the best blood should, as you suggest, help him to buck up and enjoy being back home with you. Stay calm. us lot are rooting for you both.

corner I spluttered coffee over the keyboard when I read the bit about dusting before you leave the house so that burglars aren't offended. I do the same thing. I have to leave the house spic and span ^in case I'm involved in an accident. Can't have anyone coming in and thinking, mucky mare! May I say that ordinary days are good days. I appreciate ordinary. Nana3 Our Bags is well known for her crusty bread. I fancy a home-made jam sandwich right now. We did have roast lamb at the weekend. Had home-made (not by me) rhubarb and ginger conserve with it. The flavours went well together.
NanaandGrampy I drive myself potty during the evening. The sky refuses to be ignored. I'm besotted with the cloud formations and marvellous colours that change as time passes.

MacS dropped off yet another wee sample for the doctor to test with the litmus-type paper. Doctor rang to say...you know what...the umpteenth UTI requires another course of antibiotics.
That certainly sounds like sciatica which is horrible.
I am lying on my bed as my leg is so painful today. My pain relief, Zapain, 30mgs codeine and 500 paracetamol isn't touching it today. My friend came for coffee and it was fine, she was well aware how H is and did seem sympathetic, we shall see but conversation was pretty trivial and general as she could see I wasn't good. She did ask if I want to go for lunch next week for my b'day but I said to leave it as I really didn't feel like arranging anything. I was relieved as I hate confrontation and ill feeling, quite cowardly on my part I suppose 
You poor poorly people , but it is not relaxing or restful watching Roger and Cilič this afternoon is it? Neves in shreds!!
Annsixty I wonder if I am overthinking it to suspect that particular friendship is nearing the end of the road? Sometimes it is better to move on, but you have so much on your plate these days, a good friend would have been a friend in deed.

You are most definitely NOT a coward. Your birthday is your special day. I would not entertain the idea of sharing it with the other lady. I cannot bring myself to use the word - friend.
anno sounds like a plan. Three ladies in a ward. Mayhem would most certainly shake things up.
Sorry that you're in pain. It does sound like sciatica but if the doctor thinks otherwise then he knows best. Tennis it is. I've washed two pots of tea down. Now need a wee.
On another thread, someone mention how possessive dancer can be ome of their partners.
Last week, Mrs. P and I were at our local dance when this rather attractive lady came over asking for a dance, now that could cause problems between a husband and wife, but no, we are a open couple and I did not mind Mrs P dancing with her. Imagine my face when I realised it wasn't me she was asking 
GandTea I sense you are picking up a bit. I do hope so. I'm one of those, who if I have a worry, keep trying to work it through in my mind. I find it hard to be distracted if I am anxious or depressed about anything. Hope your particular problems are resolved soon.
