I hope today finds you feeling better soop . The feeling of being "not wth it" is draining. The antibiotics will soon kick in, but they themselves have their lowering effect. I am not sleeping so another day of feeling like a zombie I expect. anno if you are serious Ihave a "" wheeled Zimmer" you may borrow but getting it to you is a problem as we have no transport of course.

So sorry to hear you are poorly soop, very unpleasant. Think most antibiotics have a bit of a side affect. You spend a lot of time helping others, now is the time to take care a bit of care of yourself

The football was fabulous this evening. An early night I think so that I am ready for Andy tomorrow.

So sorry about your UTI Soop - I have had lots, and antibiotics always seem to have bad side effects. But thankfully some local application of an HRT cream has got them under control (fingers crossed.)

soop, so sorry about your UTI. They really do drag you down. I used to get them a lot when I was young but age, in this case, seems to have its compensations, at least for me. I'm having trouble walking as a muscle problem in my back has sent muscle pains down one leg and the only way I can walk without screaming is to bend double and use a stick. Anyone got a spare zimmer? The GP has referred me to a physio but the appointment is likely to take ages to come through, so I will probably stump up for a private one.

Hope your new date comes through and is favourable to you Soop. I too hoped to meet last time we were there, but with the roadworks just round that bend. and the traffic holdups, we didn`t think our fellow road users would appreciate our stopping suddenly with a caravan on the back, so reluctantly had to just wave and drive on. Later in the week, we drove past, if you`d been in the garden we`d have stopped for a blether, but weren`t sure how you`d feel if we`d knocked on the door! I don`t think we`ll ever get up there again, now that hubby can`t drive distances anymore, but I still live in hope.
We had the man from the charity shop here earlier to collect a load of stuff for the shop in town. He took it all, apart from a baby`s high chair that`s not collapsible, so he`s coming back next week for that, when he has more room for it.

Charleyg Just caught your message before logging off. I like Milos. He came across very well when interviewed. As for Thomas, I'm not so sure.
I'm not too concerned that I didn't take the call. Have started a fresh course of antibiotics and feel off colour. Also, our pal is absent. He's Rory's best mate. He would probably not let anyone else into the house.

That is fine soop provided that Rory is not inconvenienced and the view remains the same.

Daphne I do hope that Grace is feeling better- we cannot have two members of the Broon family ill.

I' going to have a wee ziz in the armchair. Lack-lustre doesn't come close to how I'm feeling.
I do not have a tablet or a smart phone, so once I log off, I shall not be back until tomorrow. We're about 37 visits away from a new kitchen. As soon as I return from Campbeltown (early afternoon)I shall check that you lot have somewhere to gather. No way are we going to be kitchenless. That's a promise.

It was really pleasant having an afternoon for once without tennis. I am really looking forward to tomorrow, firstly Roger playing Milos and then Andy playing Thomas Berdich. I think that roger will have a very difficult match and I am not sure how Andy will fare because I have not seen Thomas play yet this season.

You could kick yourself missing that phone call because the sooner you have the surgery the sooner you will be up and about again.

So, the next PM will be a woman for sure.

DaphneB Not such an exciting afternoon of tennis as yesterdays marathons. Never mind. I'm feeling a bit off colour. Do have yet another UTI. GP sent antibiotics to the village shop. I feel as if I'm well and truly "spaced out"...some might say...nothing new there, then.

NanaandGrampy Your grandchildren are blest to have such visits filled with good fun. I love the lolly-licking sharing. Why not indeed. As a child, my group of close friends would share a penny gobstopper. Did us no harm (I like to believe).

Bellanonna continue to enjoy sunshine. It is a grey day in Kintyre.
I found a deceased Oyster Catcher lying in the verge. It had probably flown into the path of a car. The beach is very close to the road. I felt sad. Gulls are usually the main mischief makers. They often have scraps with the Oyster Catchers who are nesting amidst the stony outcrops.

soop. I liked some portraits better than others. They were mostly of Hockney's friends in Los Angeles plus some of his siblings, and one rather discordant still life among them, which he painted when one particular sitter didn't turn up. It was certainly worth a visit. I saw another of his exhibitions when he was much younger. His mother was in thst one, along with a few swimming pools.
Lovely lunch time concert today with U3A friends. Nice and pleasantly warm here. I feel another supper in the garden coming on.
Hope your appointment date gets confirmed soon - if it's a cancellation I hope it gives you time to feel ready for it.

We are collapsed in our chairs.... It was a lively afternoon with a water fight, a game of draughts and one of dominoes, a LOT of biscuits and a long discussion about butterflies.

You cannot say its not diverse.

The littlest one aged 2 fell in a bush and had to be hosed off as he was covered in pollen from the flowers he then proceeded to share an ice lolly with Sam , lick for lick. I have given up worrying about germs ! The child is indestructible.

The 4 year old waited till Grampy bent down to plant something and caught him squarely on the bottom with his water pistol !! Grampy was surprised to say the least!

All in all - we escaped lightly !!

After a lovely sunny start it has clouded over now with a foolish breeze - was that summer?

Mini I am able to do the quick crosswords. Not the cryptic. Although, there are occasions when MacS is stumped, gives me the paper, and I'm able to fit a word into the gaps. I'm nowhere near as bright as he is.

Soop I wondered where the sound of other cogs turning was coming from I think McSporran's answer is the right one.
