GandTea it was a superb match. They are up against Portugal next Wednesday. They have nothing to lose, never having been in this position before. Good luck to them.

GandTea Fri 01-Jul-16 22:33:12

Mrs P throws her knickers in the air hmm

GandTea Fri 01-Jul-16 22:30:07

Still watching Wales v Belgium on catch up. Mrs P is getting very excited (or at least her Welsh half is) 3 min to go.

GandTea Fri 01-Jul-16 22:28:21

CG, if I can eat Mrs P's cake I can eat anything ..... Ouch, there was no need for that, I was only joking.

Charleygirl Fri 01-Jul-16 22:23:17

Alea Please stay, I do not think that you should give in. I am going to miss the photos of Flynn, he is growing almost by the day and looks older than his years. I do hope that he is settling into a routine.

GandTea you would be running out of the kitchen if you tasted anything that I baked. Not my forte, still searching for it.

What a superb evening of tennis and football with more yet to come tomorrow.

NanaandGrampy Fri 01-Jul-16 19:13:54

We'll miss you Alea . AND we'll miss those wonderful baby pictures ! But you know what's best for you.

Come back when you're able x

GandTea Fri 01-Jul-16 18:41:32

Alea, Ok but there is one condition, you cannot leave until you finish all the cake --- kitcheners, get baking.

Tegan Fri 01-Jul-16 18:35:26

Sorry G; it's on permanent use at the Mo. The instructions say, repeat step 2 as necessary, or until unconscious.....If unconscious, cease stress reduction activity. When I reach that stage it's all yours..…(ouch;ouch....)....

Alea Fri 01-Jul-16 18:34:31

As GandTea said, this process while not exactly Article 50 is not as instantaneous as I thought it would be. So maybe I take a moment toexplain
1) my comments about "vitriol and tonics" we're meant to be about the considerable hot air which has been generated during and after the Referendum and is mercifully absent from Soop's Kindly Kitchen for which I and others remain grateful. It was not meant to bring "vitriol" into the kitchen, but was a comment on its absence

2) I at no point named any individual or individuals when I made my remarks about anybody needling to wash their mouth out with soap and water.

3)I have received no PM from you Jingl so whoever you sent it to , it wasn't me

I am not flouncing, but was very saddened by the abuse which should have taken me by surpris, given the nature of the thread and which I regard as an abuse of Soop's kindly hospitality.
Regardless of whether or not I am finding life hard as DH approaches the start of his third week in hospital, I would not use that as an excuse. There are many more with tragedies, worries, illnesses, personal problems in their lives and the strength of GN has always been its support and humanity, especially on this thread.
However, a break is probably called for, so as the Dolphins did not say on "Hitch hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, "thanks for all the cake" xxx

GandTea Fri 01-Jul-16 18:21:23

Tegran, can I borrow your plate, We are dancing again tonight and I will need it if we can't sort our QS turns out.

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 01-Jul-16 17:55:42

Quoting Alea

"What a mouth a certain person has on her, needs washing out with soap and water my mum would have said.
Take no notice, nice people , some people are never happy unless they are picking a fight.
angry angry"

And I'm not supposed to respond to that?

Alea is the troublemaker. Not me.

Don't worry. I've had the snotty email. Won't bother you anymore. Happy now GandTea?

NanaandGrampy Fri 01-Jul-16 17:43:23

Now ignoring the gremlin in the corner.... disaster has befallen the chocolate swiss roll !! I obviously did too good a job making it roll shaped , I left it to cool on the board on the side and it must have rolled off because when I came into the kitchen a moment ago I caught Sam the dog proudly making off with it through the door and down the garden pursued by Grampy.

I know who my monies on but even IF we got it back...who wants a slice now !

The saving grace is I hadn't put the chocolate buttercream in yet .

So anyone fancy a spoonful of that smile

kittylester Fri 01-Jul-16 17:43:00

jings, you appear to be in a very nowty mood. Have some cake, sit down and chill out for goodness sake.

Alea, it's only * jings* and you know what she's like! shock

GandTea Fri 01-Jul-16 17:40:51

Soop, I can assure you that all the regular kitcheners are supporting you and your concept of an angst free kitchen.

soop Fri 01-Jul-16 17:37:30

I can't pretend to be happy at the moment. However, I'm hoping that when I log on tomorrow, we'll all be able forgive and forget.

breeze Fri 01-Jul-16 16:56:40

Oh don't take her seriously nice people. She's not real. She's a computer glitch, clutching onto the server like that little gremlin on the wing of the plane in Twilight Zone! Carry on and enjoy your thread. It's the most popular on here and Soop has created a wonderful thing. Enjoy!

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 01-Jul-16 16:49:43

"Back off"?

Odd terminology for adult women to use. hmm

I would love to leave the thread. But It seems others must have their say. hmm

millymouge Fri 01-Jul-16 16:38:21

There is another thread which I have read (Life's Lessons) and two sayings that were on it:-

LIghten up

Be kind to others (please)

TriciaF Fri 01-Jul-16 16:25:38

Jings please back off and take your quarrel elsewhere.
You're not "Boss O'The Boards".

GandTea Fri 01-Jul-16 16:17:26

Just for once Jings you are wrong, only GNHQ can delete a members account, de-registration does not delete the account, I know as I have done it. When you request de-registration it makes that quite clear.

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 01-Jul-16 16:06:59

It's instant. hmm

GandTea Fri 01-Jul-16 16:03:23

De-registering takes a few days, until the process is completed by GNHQ one can still PM someone, that does not mean they have changed their mind, just that it is in progress.

However I do hope GNHQ will ask her to re-consider as we cannot lose such a great member.

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 01-Jul-16 15:55:13

Oh yes. grin Absolutely. Clap me in handcuffs now. grin

Tegan Fri 01-Jul-16 15:53:09

Err; bit like stalking, that....
