Maybe I'll find the next nearest Apple Store and try there.

I hate hate hate the sodding Apple store
(18 Posts)I wasn't "the confused"!
I just really loathed him.
My local Apple Store is staffed by lovely friendly young people who are incredibly patient with the confused. I've been to a couple of workshop sessions which were helpful.
Two Apple stores within easy distance, both have staff who speak our language - simple - and don't patronise. Guess we're lucky, or were you unlucky jingls? As an earlier poster says, sorry can't recall who so apologies, why not forward details to Apple? Poor service has no excuse, rudeness even less so. My pet hate is Vodafone, now please don't get me started!
.
It's not just you with the Apple Store jingle. We have two within a reasonable distance. Do we go to the nearer one? No, we go to the one further away where they don't treat us as doddering, old idiots.
I'm really sorry to tell you this but I've always found the apple staff wonderful. However I can relate to the making up of passwords then forgetting. I was once in the same position at a IT training day at work. The male teacher was a prat and started " tutting at me" I did the same as you I stood up and told him in a very loud voice "DONT YOU TUTT AT ME" every time he visited our base everyone calls him 'The tutter" serves him right. I know this isn't helpful either Jinglebellsfrocks but you do make me laugh and I need that, I'm sorry you had a bad experience ?
There's me thinking, why isn't this thread under Gardening, then the penny dropped.
Your itunes password is so important if you have any problems with an IOS device, without it they(or you) cannot restore it fully. I only realised this recently.
I think I do actually hate the store itself. So huge, and full of people talking about their phones to other people who are very interested in - well, phones. Soulless somehow. Probably just me.
Screen not too bad. Getting used to the spidery cracks. A bit like floaters in your eye.
I will send it off to Apple online. They send you a box to post it in. All is not lost.
Yes true Anya !
I'm very impatient about appointments. So I would have been in like Flynn at the earlier opportunity
It's so rude , smacks of my time is more precious than yours .
But wasn't there a series of blunders nana& and he was just the final straw?
It wasn't the store, it was the young guy! I'm surprised you either didn't take him to task on the spot or ask to speak to the manager . They would have sorted it all out appropriately .
Of all stores I've found them gee rally to be very customer focused .
I'm totally hopeless technically. Ive done one of those courses at our Apple store that promise to teach you the basics, it worked. I went in recently after I'd done something that made my iPad shout things at me, such as 'camera on", it was very unnerving and I wondered if it was beginning to take over having recognised how very limited I am. The apple genius was kind, patient and managed not to patronise me, how he managed this is beyond me. I suspect they must have a large number of older women, all slightly (well hugely in my case) overwhelmed by their iphones/ipads/lap tops.
I absolutely love the people in the Apple Store in Cardiff - always helpful and show me what to do - whoever I see in the store. I have one Apple password which is for all things to do with it - the iMac or the iPad - it works for the ITunes which is what you want if you need to buy anything or download. I have extra ICloud storage - useful as it means I can get my photos from either device.
When I did have a problem downloading the latest system for the iMac I got onto them via the email and a chap phoned me via the computer and asked me various things and got all downloaded for me - excellent service.
I cannot use the machines as fully as I should - DS always telling me what I can do ! But I have got to grips with FaceTime!
Always found the staff very helpful in Edinburgh. I also need to write passwords down as I also forget even when making one up Jinglbells! Had to change every password I had last month because Amazon found my name and passwords circulating the internet. DH said make them all different and it was so so difficult to make up so many! Feel for you x
Try and imagine the arrogant little plonker on the loo, very levelling. Then go and have a piece of cake and forget about the kn.b. Hope your iPad is fixed soon.
Why not copy and paste that to

He's the Managing Director of Apple UK ....tell him his his stores are failing.
I might not face the big outside world again. Too scary.
Dropped my min ipad outside, cracked the screen. Emailed son and he sent me in to the Apple Store. Apparently they would "sort me out". Did they heck!
Saw one bloke. He took my name and email address. Told me to come back in half hour when they would "sit me down". Went to John Lewis and had cuppa and a scone. Went back. Saw another bloke. Was put at a table and told to wait. Other people came and went so I asked another chap if I had been forgotten. He looked me up on his device and said there had been a blip in the system. In an Apple Store!!!
Told me I would be highlighted and seen very shortly.
Eventually a young chap came and asked me what I needd. I explained. Then he made the mistake of asking me how I was. So, of course, I told him. From then on, he was sooo insolent in his attitude. Kept staring at me without saying anything. As if I was some kind of crackpot!
Then he wanted my ITunes password. I haven't a clue what my iTunes password is. Got it written down somewhere but I never use it. He asks me how I download my Apps.. I have never downloaded an App in my life! I don't need apps to do Gransnet, or take a few photos when on holiday. Which is all I use the thing for. Then I had to invent a new iTunes password. Of course my mind went completely blank! Put in something like 'FFSgetonwithit' followed by a random number. Then I had to enter it a second time. Couldn't for the life of me remember what I typed in he first place. That was the point I burst into tears got up and walked out saying, "I'll send it away. I hate this shop!".
I know they will be thinking I'm a halfway demented old codger who doesn't know her ar-- from her elbow (in technical terms) I'm not! I could have done it all perfectly easy at home, but It was his attitude. He was horrible. So patronising.
I am now going to find a dark corner, hug my knees, and rock silently.
